  • Poonjabi Sick Baba Guru Nanak b-day celebrated under govt patronage in K-Punjabistan

We shouldn't pander to dumb Indic cults like Sickism who aren't even 1% of our population. Let the Punjabis do that.

From the article: CM’s special assistant says they will also observe Christmas and Kalash festivals officially

F*ck Christmas but its nice for them to observe the Kalash festivals

PESHAWAR: The members of Sikh community from entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gathered on Sunday evening to officially celebrate the birthday of Baba Guru Nanak with religious fervour.

“Whether it was politico-religious or nationalist government, none celebrated it like this time. We are celebrating it for the first time under government patronage,” claimed Soran Singh, the special assistant to chief minister. He said that few days ago Hindu religious festival Diwali was also celebrated at government level by holding special gathering like that one.

The Sikh families, who had come from parts of province and tribal areas, were given accommodation in a Sikh temple or Gurdawara Joga Singh in Peshawar City. They gathered in the evening in Auqaf Hall to take part in special prayers and festivities of Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday, organised with the support of provincial culture department.

CM’s special assistant says they will also observe Christmas and Kalash festivals officially
“If Eid is celebrated at government level with a lot of fervour, we would celebrate Christmas and even Kalash religious festivals officially so that minorities wouldn’t feel less important,” said Soran Singh, representing both the provincial government and minority community.

Although the actual birthday of Baba Guru Nanak was celebrated on Nov 16 yet Mr Singh said that it was for the first time that provincial government was celebrating it.

The gathering would be celebrating the birthday of their religious leader Baba Guru Nanak by sharing and reminding themselves about his teachings. Baba Guru Nanak propagated the oneness of God, humanity and peace.

Baba Guru Nanak believed and propagated a society free of class discrimination, said Mr Singh. He also narrated how Baba Guru Nanak preached against discrimination. Once his father gave him money to purchase things for the shop (business) but he ended up spending all the money on feeding the poor and hungry from a “Langar” (an outlet giving food free of charge).

Baba Guru Nanak, called it Sacha Soda (true returns), earning goodwill and love in return for helping the needy. A Sacha Soda Gurdwara -- a reminder of the kind deed of Baba Guru Nanak -- is still run and it feeds poor and hungry free of charge all day long throughout the year. Almost every Sikh temple has a “Lunger” giving food to anyone, who is hungry.

The birthday of Baba Guru Nanak, reminding of such lessons of peace and doing good to humanity free of any bias, is also a reminder how Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been located in a region having a rich history of inter-faith harmony. The world may be seeing this region seeped in religious extremism but celebrations like Diwali and Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday send a message that it is still trying to keep the tradition of religious harmony alive.

To be "Pakistani" means a Pashtun must orientate himself away from other Pashtuns (e.g. urban Pashtuns in the lowlands distance themselves from tribals in FATA) and also Afghans and of course definitely other Iranic races.

For Pakistani Pashtuns seeing themselves as an Iranic race loosely related to Kurds, Tajiks is something alien.

To be "Pakistani" means a Pashtun in Pekhawar or Kohat has to orientate himself towards the Indic/desi world.

Pakistanified Pashtuns, known derogatorily as "Pathans", love Indian movies i.e. Bollywood and like to mix in Lahore and Karachi. For some of them they even feel they have more in common with Bengalis than Iranic Kurds, and I am not joking.

For Pashtuns who are not victims of this brainwashing this is of course ridiculous and absurd as Pashtuns and Bengalis have nothing in common with each other besides religion but for "Pathans", Pakistaniyaat comes before everything else and for many a feeling of affinity with their former wing and its people i.e. "east Pakistan" is more important than their blood brothers in Afghankhwa.

Pakistan is a Punjabi empire, a greater Punjab, and it is ok for Punjabis

      1. To have their capital city named after a Hindu god, Lahore.

(Imagine if Dhaka was named Krishna or Mardan was named Shiva, well Lahore the capital of Punjab is named after a Hindu god).

      2. To patronize Sikh culture.

However how dare a Pashtun feel any affinity with his blood brothers in Afghankhwa and how dare a Bengali wish to have peaceful relations with India (having peaceful relations with India is dubbed as "being an Indian puppet state", "selling out to India" by Pakistani nationalists).

However Punjabis can do whatever they wish and then use the "Muslim card" as they wish.

The sad thing is regimes like Turkey and the Arab world support them in this.

How nasty and small minded you people are.. If Muslims can celebrate Eid in countries like India, why can't the Sikh panjabies celebrate guru Nanak in Pakistan or anywhere else in the world?? It's not about demographics, it's about tolerance and respect for other people and their religions. If something spreads positivity, why discourage it?? If Muslims were as adamant with rejecting the nonsense that kicks them back in to the cage age era, we wouldn't be dying like filthy flies today.

Besides, do you even know how much respect guru nanak had for Muslims and Islam?? Why do the traditions of other countries concern you??

Do you even know who guru Nanak was?? How many Sikhs have been beaten up brutally while being confused for a Muslims by racists in the west and do they not stand up against racism rather than clarifying they are not filthy Muslim terrorist??

I think it's time you accept your compatriots on this forum are nothing more than bigots, ethnic chauvinists and radical Islamists. There's no point in talking sense into these people.

Lol, I'm not against people celebrating their religious festivals, but I hate this retarded government's pandering. Like I just think it shouldn't be celebrated under the government's patronage. Just let them celebrate it in their local gurudwaras like they do every year. I'm not Muslim by the way so I could care less what this guru had to say about them. They are a tiny minority and foreigners to our land. The Kalash on the other hand are natives though and don't have their own state so it's okay if the government panders to them but not for Indian Sikhs or Christians.

Yes, people that think your language and culture deserve to go extinct in favor of an Indic pan-Pakistani one are perfectly righteous people. And it's you guys that are the radical Islamists always trying to legitimize Pakistan by saying it was created so that Muslims could have their own country and other pan-Islamist diatribe.

I wonder why the government of Khyber-"Pashtunxwa" cares so much about these illegal immigrants and their dumb religion but gives ZERO respect to Nowruz??

So you don't have a problem with giving them partial respect but you don't think they deserve full respect?? If a person lives in a community, he is expected to follow a list of rules as everyone else. You saying that they are foreigner excuses them from having the decency to not use your doorsteps as a toilet. Unless they are doing things like that, you can't exclude someone from a society on the bases of them being "foreigners". In decent civilizations, everyone is entitled to respect. That includes "minorities" as well. If you don't give minirities respect, you are a racist.

Stop being an ******* and then giggle on top of it while justifying being an *******.

. Most pan-Islamists favoured a united India where the Muslims would be a stronger and dominant force whereas Pakistan Movement activists argued for a separate homeland for Muslims where they could thrive and prosper. Compare the argument for Pakistan to your hate-speech against Punjabis, Hindus, Sikhs etc and we can easily tell who the mindless frothing bigot is.

Whats the difference between your attitude and those of ISIS/Taliban?, even though you are calling yourself non religious. As long as they are not forcing anyone to celebrate it, whats wrong with it?

It is not about celebrating Guru Nanak birthday or Muslim...it is about hypocrisy of Porkis...take for example Tablighi Jamahat, the organization is created by ISI and have their HQ in Lahore, just other side of Badshahi Masjid....just a few miles from regions oldest brothel--Heri Mandi but they are the most active in Pashton region and even Afghanistan.

^ Why does that surprise you?? That's common knowledge. Which part of this "hypocrisy" were you in doubt by?? To you it's a matter of hypocrisy but your friend presented this article under a different title. To him it's what we correctly believe this matter is. Terrorists don't have horns on their heads. This is the sort of bs that terrorists believe in.

I'll admit by words were kinda strong "Poonjabi Sick". I forgot this wasn't YouTube :P

Let them celebrate it. But the government doesn't need to give it publicity or legitimacy. For example, in England, its not banned to celebrate Eid. Does the government do any sort of Islamic patronage though? No, and if they did, millions of Anglos would oppose it. We don't need to pander to a religion in KPK practiced by a couple of immigrants descended from illegals. They should try to promote Pashtun culture or Nowruz instead of this foreign Indic custom.

Whatever, but the point is Islamists are against secularism and Islamism is the basis for founding Porkistan. Many Pakis today are Islamists and when you tell them that we should balkanize their artificial nation, then they say pan-Islamist stuff like "but we are all Muslims blah blah".
