1. Allah ta'ala said in the Quran repeatedly that "Most of mankind do not know" (Akthar an Naas la ya'lamoon).
I have witnessed many things in my life and I have seen this is true. Most people ("adults") are fundamentally child-like but physically, externally in adult form. Most people are the product of conditioning of whatever the prevalent ruling, cultural, educational system is where they reside and in fact a person can physically move from one place with a particular educational/political/cultural system to one which has a different one and adopt the latter but still exhibit the same fundamental underlying quality of conforming to whatever the dominant beliefs, values are, not out of ideological, moral sincerity but out of expediency even if they sometimes delusionally think they are "enlightened".
Alhamdulilah, masha'Allah, you are a person who "thinks outside the box" and challenges existing beliefs, misconceptions.
2. The world is much older and more complex than traditional "Islam" or "Islamists" would have us think. However true Islam, that of the Quran is perfect, divine and not at fault for what latter generations of Muslims, zanadiqa (infiltrators) and others have produced.
Even in Arabia itself there were civilizations more advanced than the civilization in which the holy prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was born in to, just as the traditional Islamic writers themselves admit that Rome ("Rum" i.e. Byzantine) and Iran of that time were more advanced. Such Semitic/Arab civilizations include that of the Himyarites, the Dilmun and others.
Also the Indic world is one with a long history of civilization and intellectual excellence. It was one which the peripheral Arabian peninsula looked up to.
During the time of the prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم there were according to traditional sources a group of hypocrites who sought to weaken Islam from within, led by the likes of the notorious Abdullah bin Ubayy, however having studied the Quranic text closely with an Arab of Sayyid lineage it is now evident to me that the infilitration process and distortion of Islam was far greater than most believe, rather than orthodox Sunni Islam being the "correct" Islam intellectually defeating heresies it is this same "orthodox Sunni Islam" which itself is a distortion of the true Islam of the Quran. I cannot go in to detail, but I have a background in Islamic studies including basic knowledge of the different 'uloom of Islam (sciences) be it hadeeth, tafseer, usool ul fiqh, fiqh etc.
3. The Iranic lands of Balkh, Ariana, Arachosia, Afghania, Pakhtunkhwa etc, different names for states which sometimes existed in the same regions or parts of the same region are lands of blessing and barakah.
I could elaborate heavily. There is so much to say but I fully agree with you that justice has not been done to the achievements of the "pre-Islamic" (I say this in speech marks as they may have been following the risalah [message, prophethood] of a previous prophet) Iranic peoples of the Balkh/Khorasan/Afghankhwa/Pakhtunkhwa region.
Even if we were to ignore those achievements which are ignored or covered up by traditional history and just go by mainstream (distorted, bastvrdized history) we would have to pay tribute to the greatness of the region which produced Zarathustra, Rumi, Ghazali, Baha'uddin Naqshband and countless others.
These are my two cents in regards to your post though there is much I have omitted.
