China's Vice President Li Yuanchao arrived in Kabul on Tuesday and is scheduled to meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other officials of National Unity Government (NUG).

Li Yuanchao is expected to sign several agreements of mutual interests.

This comes after the Chinese Ambassador to Kabul, Yu Jing, met with CEO Abdullah Abdullah last week and discussed the visit of the vice president.

The Ambassador hoped at the meeting that the visit of Li Yuanchao will help further strengthen the relations between Kabul and Beijing.

He said the visiting Chinese Vice President will hold a wide-ranging discussions with Afghan officials on several matters, including counter-terrorism and economic cooperation.

Chinese government, however, also pledged few months ago to facilitate Afghan government's peace talks with Taliban.

President Ghani has stated that he no longer wants Pakistan to facilitate the peace talks with Talibs, could China fill in instead?

Afghans should choose China as their main ally in the region. China can invest in our economy and infrastructure and in return we can allow them to extract resources from our soil.

China is a better alternative than Iran, Pakistan, Russia, India and America.

Announcing the 10,000 apartments' project and 1500 scholarships for Afghanistan is without a doubt a huge contribution and signifies the importance of the relationship. However, the visit by the vice president ought to carry more significance than showing up at a press conference and making an announcement of these. Take note that agreements in security, education and reconstruction were signed. China places value on security above all. He might be carrying some kind of a high level message for Ghani.

Don't talk to me like you talk to your mother. We are here on a public forum. Act accordingly.

Yes, they are murtadeen and kuffar. But as A Muslim I am taught to consider the best interest of all humanity. Not just Muslims.

This is why we are better than you kaafirs. Despite having differences, we have concern for your kind. While you only have concern for your belly.

Are those the actual figures? If yes, then that's truly amazing. I have a few friends who are graduates of Pakistani universities.

As far as i remember, they are correct.Don't ask me for a source now.

Scholarship is also provided for LUMS and NUST.

Unlike Iran,Afghan refugees can study in any govt school without fees.

In Iran, Afghan children aren't even allowed to go to school.

I remember one Panjsheri in UK. He use to live in Iran. He said, we often criticize Pakistanis, but I have yet to see a Pakistani serving his guests alcohol in front of his wife and children. A practice quite common among liberal Afghans. He also said in Pakistan, Afghans own businesses, houses and have Pakistani employees. In Iran, his own brother was jailed because his boss committed fraud and blamed his own employee in order to avoid getting caught.

If we compare Iran with Pakistan, Pakistan is a much better neighbor than Afghanistan. But that doesn't mean we should ignore all the injustices Pakistani government and army are committing against Afghan refugees and Afghanistan.

This means 30K new Mullah Omars, Haqqanis, Hekmataris. Pakistan has a dual policy of educating the future terrorist leaders at universities, and the fighters at madrassas. Some dumb afghans here will tirade against western born refugees who have positions of power, calling them fifth colums but they see nothing wrong with this.

The graduates of madrassahs are not considered university graduates. Plus, many prominent politicians, diplomats and public servants in Kabul have diploma's from Pakistani universities. Not all diploma's are genuine, though.

Our country is literally feeding your pathetic cesspit. Food, medicine, supplies, it all comes from us.

They don't see anything wrong with it because most of them have spent several years hiding in our land. You have probably spent a few years loafing in Pakistan too.
