Daesh’sDistrict Governor, Police chief, Military chief, the Mayor and a Commander of 20 fighters, surrendered to National Directorate of Security (NDS) of Afghanistan in Kot district, Nangarhar province.
Qari Mohammad Rafiq also known as Qari Mohammad Yasar, shadow governor for Daesh says: “We cannot hide the fact that, in Kot district, we were oppressing the shopkeepers, the butchers and detaining civilians for no obvious reasons. When we witnessed those inhumane acts we said to ourselves that we want true Islamic laws but what we are doing is completely against Islam’s teaching. That is why we joined the government of Afghanistan.”
Noor-ul- Haq, son of Adam Khan also known as Mulalh Work from Kot district Nangarhar province and the self-claimed mayor of Daesh said: “We were detaining, torturing, and killing innocent villagers and tribal elders, emplacing mines, closing schools, healthcare facilities and burning them. When we saw the barbarity, we figured out that this is not Khilafat [Caliphate] and we joined the government of Afghanistan.”
There is no doubt that Daesh is committing unspeakable crimes and atrocities and mostly civilians are affected by it. To counter these barbarities, it is imperative for Afghan nation to unite against this terrorist group and inform Afghan National Security Forces of any suspicious activities.
