  • Turning gun on media: Taliban warn attacks on 1TV and Tolo TV channels

Taliban have warned attacks on 1TV and Tolo private TV channels operating from Kabul with sub offices and reporters in a number of provinces. A statement

Taliban have warned attacks on 1TV and Tolo private TV channels operating from Kabul with sub offices and reporters in a number of provinces.
A statement published on Taliban website accuses the two TV channels for propagating against them.
“Tolo and 1 TV channels are spearheads among these propaganda networks tasked with promoting the intellectual, cultural and information invasion of the infidels in Afghanistan. These networks with the complete backing of the Americans ridicule our religious and cultural norms, encourage obscenity and lewdness, inject the minds of youth with dangerous substances such as irreligiousness, immorality, violence, gambling, intermixing and profanity and specifically spread propaganda filled with hate and open enmity against Jihad and Mujahideen.” The press release states.
It warns that 1TV and Tolo are now military objectives for Taliban.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan from now onwards does not recognize Tolo and 1 TV channels as media outlets but designates them as military objectives due to their disrespectful and hostile actions towards the Afghan Mujahid nation.”
“Henceforth no employee, anchor, office, news team and reporter of these TV channels holds any immunity. “ The statement adds.
“Hereafter all the reporters and associates of these channels will be deemed enemy personnel, all of their centers, offices and dispatched teams will be considered military objectives which will be directly eliminated.” The statement threatens.
“Our demand from those associating with these channels is that they stay away from their offices and reporters and to end all contacts with them. People should stop visiting the main offices and branches of these channels, cease participating in its programs and bar all its reporters from entering their homes. Intellectuals should stop partaking in its news reports and the Muslim nation should generally quit watching and strongly boycott them.” The statement warns.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

They havnt just warned people only, they have torched radio stations run by women, kidnapped and murdered the workers in the recent months too.
If you live in a country like Afghanistan and fancy yourself some freedom of speech, you have to be willing to bear the consequences of it too. What is the point or use of it otherwise.

This proves that ideologically and in actions, TTP and Afghan Taliban are same or similar. TTP issued same threats to Pakistani media and actually killed some journalist of field.

Talking selfies with people wont help, they are still as much bigoted and are as much involved in terrorism as they were in the near past.

State terrorism. Your usual tactic that you use against others, wont work on me as i am as much anti-pak army as it gets.

Stop justifying the terrorism and madness of Taliban.

Believe it or not, many Afghans don't consider Tolo and 1tv as freedom of speech. Those two channels in particular are very good in causing problems.

Lame attempt of diverting spot light from the Taliban, your mad darlings. Your TTP friends didnt "ask questions", they actually killed field journalists and threatened to kill more if their perspective is not shown on TV channels. One anchor Javed Chauhdry was forced to take Ahsnaullah Ahsan online. Before you throw a stupid counter-question at me again, yes ISI also threaten and some times kill journalists.

ISI/Army is Godfather and Taliban are their najaiz awlaad. Or ISI is scientist in the lab while Taliban are viruses they have leaked into environment. You dont love viruses

Most of the news on Afghan channels are anchored by pretty women so audiences could be lured into watching them which are basically gov mouth pieces and believe what they say.

Yes. But no one in his right mind would cheer for and sympathize with the mindless viruses.
