The current regime in Kabul is created by America and its Western allies. Western financial and material aid is artificially keeping the current state alive. Without Western backing, the regime will collapse within hours.
For the last 14 years, the current regime and its Western backers have failed the Afghan people. Afghanistan is one of the most corrupt countries on earth with no peace and stability. Our economy is based on foreign assistance and drug trade. Annually, a large portion of the population leaves to country in search of a better life elsewhere.
The world today is no longer bypolar like it use to be back in the 80's. Back then, most developing countries were divided into either a Western or a Soviet block. Today, there are many poles. China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabi, India, America, Britain and the EU.
Some of these players may have common interests in certain matters, but in other issues, they are competitors. Despite this, there still seems to be a division into two allignments.
A Western one led by America and an eastern one led by Russia, China and Iran.
Under current circumstances, no developing country is able to gain full independence and exist without any support any of the powerful sides.
The key to a stable future is to learn how to play a strategic game by not choosing any sides and yet maintain a good relationship with all of them.
In practice, it is impossible to achieve this because there is nobody in Afghanistan able to do this.
Since being not aligned and entirely independent is not an option, I wonder how it would be like, if there was a pro Russian/Chinese government in Kabul.
Imagine a government sponsored by Russia, China and Iran. Would that be even possible? If yes, how can Afghans dumb America and align themselves with Russia and China?
