besides, look at the nature of the crime.. sexual crimes have been a part of humanity since the beginning of time. forcefully implanting teeth in the mouths of innocent goats before selling them off to be butchered.. that's a very creative and evolved crime..

I think they join the war for military and financial gains,to ease US sanction because of nuclear weapon, further Musharraf was dictator and dictator can't absorb this much high pressure. he was looking for acceptance from international community and this was a good opportunity.
according to Musharraf they were of the view that US will install a Pakistan friendly government in Kabul but Karzai stabbed us back (US did exactly opposite) , it was there when we started efforts and start supported Taliban for comeback.
