How is it different than merger ? FATA needs legislation to liberate it from the repressive FCR it wont have that unless it has its own legislative house or merges with one. I really wish there was some noise regarding this on the political landscape no one seems to be raising this issue.

FCR should be removed or reformed, but FATA should be autonomous, its special status should remain intact. For example i dont see the benefit for tribals in paying taxes like rest of Pakistanis.

About FCR, its Pakistani military which has become a main hindrance in its abolition since a decade. FCR grants unlimited power to Pakistani military in the tribal areas without the concern for human rights. This law was basically designed to facilitate British Indian army in the tribal areas.

The merger of FATA with KPK will be the end of hundreds of years of untouched indigenous Pashtun culture that has yet to be tainted with Bollywood bungra culture embraced in the rest of Pakistan.

The rest of Pakistan should have to pay raparations to these poor people and settle them right back in their lands. Then, Pakistan shoudl vacate every piece of their land and never return.
Dude new province is not likely, what is likely now is FATA merger with KPK. It will probably make KPK on par with Sindh in terms of seats in parliament or population. You farsiwans in afghanistan are biggest bhangra and bollywood lovers, I don't need you to remind how much popular bollywood is in Afghanistan.

A Pashtun reporter of BBC appeared on Pakistani TV channel, he had not confined his visit to this cadet collge and checked on rest of the agency. To his horror , he found that entire villages, markets and even mosques are either bombarded or razed to the ground. Most of the inhabitants had still not returned and ones in the agency returned to ruins, government didnt compensate them for their losses. I read in a news report that in 2009 operation of SW, more than 60,000 houses were destroyed. This destruction of houses and local economy, was on purpose and planned, to subdue the Mehsuds.

Don't be going hard at brother BA, i might be mistaken but i sense a genuine loyalty in him for Pakistan. He will let it loose at anything but when it comes to Pakistan you can sense the consternation and dismay in his once in a blue moon criticism of Pakistan. Associating bangra with Afghanistan won't hurt him.

Already 60% or more of FATA is present in KPK,merger of KPK will help them develop them much faster.

Each Agency of FATA is connected to its neighboring city of KPK more than the adjacent agency in FATA such as

                  Waziristan to Bannu or tank

                  Khyber agency to Peshawar

                  Orakzai agency to Hangu.

In each of the city above, you will find 50% of the people from the adjacent agency.

So KPK and FATA merger will be for the greater good of the Pashtun across Pakistan and especially FATA.They need development and education.

KPK education reforms today are the best in Pakistan with the possibility of KPK even replacing Punjab as the more literate state of Pakistan.

What i have noticed is that the people of FATA want the merger of FATA with KPK but the political members from the region doesn't want it so.

anyway i am in favour of more and small provinces.

Create more provinces on the pattern of Divisions Such as

Khyber agency and Mohmand agencies being made part of Charsada and Peshawar

Waziristan being made part of Lakki marwat and Bannu

                    Bajaur part of Malakand

Khurram and Orakzai part of Hangu and Kohat

But this should be only done when Sindh and Punjab are also split into atleast 6 new provinces

In Cadet college spinkai, last year per 3 months including hostel/mess/security/etc was 560,00 PKR,So per year it should be something like 2 lac compare this to Garrison kohat charging per year something close to 3.5lac PKR.

Now some 8-9 years back, when i was in Cadet college razmak, the annual charges were more than 1.5lac PKR per year.

Also many students in the cadet college spinkai are on scholarship.

So,This is perhaps the cheapest Cadet college in Pakistan(except for completely Public collegses 1like Hasan abdal or PAF sargodha)

Dude who gives a **** if it is comparatively cheaper than some other cadet college. 18000 Rupees per month makes this spinkai college one of the most expensive college in this backward region. Even most of the top private school and collages in Peshawar are not so expensive like this one in the remote region like SW. Admit it, this cadet college is not designed to increase the literacy rate of South Waziristan. Its just a sign of Army occupation. Majority of the students are from settled areas any way.

Army in the FATA is not there for developmental projects or reconstruction, they are to kill and destroy their enemies along with the local infrastructure. Destruction of one room of the house of a tribal by army means, he just suffered a loss of 2 or 3 lakh rupees.

Cadet colleges anywhere in Pakistan are way too expensive now, annual charges easily surpass 3lac mark and in some cases such as garrison kohat it even surpass 4lac per year.

I don't remember exactly but having read the prospectus something around 40% seats are for FATA and of them 20% for only waziristan.

The infrastructure loss is huge and i don't know how they can prevent it.
