KABUL, Afghanistan — Two NATO soldiers were killed Wednesday when men wearing uniforms of the Afghan security forces opened fire at an Afghan military base in the southern province of Helmand, the American-led international coalition said in a statement.

In other news highlighting the province’s precarious security, the strategic district of Musa fell to the Taliban on Wednesday after fighting that lasted all night, members of the provincial council said. Officials had warned that if Musa Qala fell, the Taliban could tighten their grip on northern Helmand.

This is embarrassing as hell for the ANA. They had air cover, NATO support and reconaissance, and they still lost to a rag tag militia

Musa Qala’s governor, Hajji Mohammad Sharif, said that Taliban fighters swarmed the district compound on Tuesday night, seizing government buildings, including a police station.

U.S. warplanes have repeatedly bombed a strategic district of Afghanistan's Helmand province that is being besieged by Taliban militants, NATO said Thursday.
Members of Resolute Support, as the NATO mission in Afghanistan is called, were also advising and helping Afghan forces fighting militants in the province, according to a statement from the coalition.
"We can confirm the U.S. has conducted multiple kinetic strikes in Musa Qala over the past 72 hours," the statement added.

I usually dont interfere in afghan politics, since it is not my country. However it just sickens me that BA is still supporting Taliban. At least give your country a chance dude, Yes the army or government are no where near perfect and there are many criminals in there, but at least it is improving with time. If it was up to you will take the whole country back to the dark ages of Taliban. It's guys like you who are perfect puppets for Pakistan (ISI) proxy wars
