Sexy media stunt like this one - by the Pak Army and Air Force - is needed from time to time to make the nervous mainland Pakistanis (mostly from Punjab) feel secure and proud. Little do they know that their army does not have the courage and capacity to put its boots on the ground in those areas - even in the friendly environment created and surrounded by their strategic assets. And when they do, the Air Force obliges them first with carpet bombing the area (giving the strategic assets of Pak Army a safe passage first). I still have to hear any sane voice raising questions as to who uses fighter jets in counterinsurgency! The strategic planners of Pakistan - should learn from Indians! They used jet fighters as COIN tools only once - but then abandoned it forever when they saw the consequences. Because, Indian do not deny the humanity of even insurgents they fight and are never ready to pay too high a price in collateral damages. The Pak Army and Air Force, on the other hand, is always ready to offer any amount of Pashtuns blood at the alter of its strategic policy! 1.4 million tribals have been made IDPs, hundreds of villages and thousands of houses turned to rubble with thousands of tons of bombs and strike sorties for the last decade - and yet not a single terrorist worth his name captured or killed - And still this God damn small area is not clear of the terrorists!!! And they still have the audacity to shamelessly stand in front of the camera and mock the Pashtuns from the area who have suffered the most at the hands of both Army/Air Force and their strategic assets!!

question is is it something to be proud of to bomb a place inside your territory for whatever reason it may be or is this a publicity stunt?
