  • Afghanistan's Independence Day,

On behalf of the Digital Engagement team (DET) at U.S. CENTCOM, we would like to congratulate and send our best wishes to the people of Afghanistan as you celebrate your independence day on August 19th.

This is an opportunity to reflect on your achievements and recommit to a future of greater development, security, stability, economic growth and ever lasting peace. Being independent, however, does not mean being alone. The United States and Afghanistan share a common stance against terrorism, and we hope to work side by side with the people of Afghanistan to eradicate terrorism and restore peace in the country.

    Respectfully,

    Hashmat
    Digital Engagement Team, U.S. CENTCOM

some freedom and independence this is. I am happy for those kids that normally sell naswar b the roads to make a living. For a few days they can make a living off of the artificial zeal of so called independent afghans.
If this is what independence looks like, I don't want to be around for when the times are rough.

Poster who gets paid by the current occupying force in the country greets Afghans on independence day. You are all basically being mocked by Centcom, congrats.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Afghans will always be a slave of Iran, Pakistan, and the West until they start educating and uniting themselves.

Their unislamic hatred for other ethnic groups within themselves is worse than any intoxicants; masking brotherhood and deepening hatred. Afghans have been burying themselves deeper and deeper every year since the 70's with this hate that hate produced.

The only people to blame for the current sufferings and dilapidation's is Afghans themselves. They solicitate external enemies to continue destroying each other to get one up amongst themselves.

Afghans need to stand up, throw their weapons away and hug each other. That will truely be a day of independence.

How can you stand shoulder to shoulder in prayer, but plot to kill each other right after? This isn't Islam.

How can you pray if the wudhu in your heart and soul is dirty?

Another aspect that Afghans need to destroy is their backwardness culture. Yeah i said it.

If a man wants to marry a female, why does the bride to be family always expect such a huge dowry/Mahar that will only guarantee the newlyweds to be in debt and start of their blessed nuptials in a bad start?

The Mahar should be reasonably and realistically like it is in Islam. It is better for the groom to spend that money on a house, business, or other means so the couple can have a chance on success.. The Afghan traditions is almost like prostitution. Where the father will only give away his daughter for the right price, and not on the merits of the man.
