Back form a great Afghanistan vacation, spend time with people and learned so much form and about our people. The simple fact is Afghans abroad and "educated" are a tiny minority and don't represent Afghanistan or its people. We should let it go and leave this people alone and let them live as they wish, even in war, and absolute poverty people are happier than in here in states.

I honestly am up in arms about all of this. On one hand I say you're right on another, I feel Afghan people are just going to end up a historic relic. But it's nice to see that inspite of all the turmoil we see through the lens of outside information, people have hope and are persevering.

The closest you came to Afghanistan is when you were working in that Kabob restaurant in Virginia where you supplement your welfare check that you plan on using as dowry for your fat chinkey girlfriend.

People back home don't take life very serious, I was giving charity to some people from Helmand the other day and this one man came to me showed me a pic of him and his 5 kids sitting around him and told me Haji Sahib, my wife died…you see that tent over there, they have a daughter they are asking for $2000 can you give me the $$ so I could get that girl. No worries about tomorrow or the fact he has no job or how he will feed his children. I think the believe/faith on Qasmat(destiny) is Afghans greatest strength and weakness at same.

What you talking about grana? It would have been my honor to meet you, but most of my time was spend on courts, taking care of some family issue. I value all secure people, even those Islamist that don’t consider their action and deeds as work of god has my respect.

I always judged people as individual and that to on their deeds, instead of arbitrary things like white, black and brown. I have never ever cheered or justify evil—killing of innocent simply because it was done by those sharing my believes. Unlike you who was countless time try to justify the killing of innocent civilians and rectum bombing…as punishment for living in “occupied” territory.
As I said before to all you knuckle dragging Neanderthal Islamist… political Islam is NOT only reactionary on certain questions notably concerning the status of women and even responsible for fanatic excesses directed against non-Muslim and Muslims from minority sect (such as the Copts in Egypt, Shia in Saudi and Suni’s in Iran)—it is fundamentally reactionary and therefore cannot participate in the progress of peoples’ liberation.
I believe in liberal democracy because it’s only in secular societies that people are respected as individuals first and foremost in the eyes of the law. Owing to the resilience of westerners civil maturity, I can read the Quran, go to the Mosque, criticize the leadership, enter university or seek ways to create wealth, while people in my name and my religion attack these people. My recent visit back home was truly a grounding experience. I come to realize the biggest crisis back home is people believe of “no crisis” at all. Most Afghan think their world is so full and flawless that there is no need to change. Urinate in the street is normal, poverty, illiteracy, and even suicide bombing are not innate; but a temporary crisis and it comes in the face of the West. Marrying 10 years old girl is fine—it was done in time of prophet. Worst Afghans believes only theirs interpretation of Islam is accurate and those that don’t agree are misguided and deserve to be oppressed “ISIL are beheaded Shia—so what they are Shia.” (Exact words)
It will take long time for people to start to question our social and cultural environment, and believe that their interpretation of Islam is not perfect, but rather a crisis, that substance and manifest ignorance and violence.
