  • U.S. and local afghan leaders hold discussions,

A council was organized in Bagram district, Parwan province among Afghan local village elders, district chiefs and U.S. forces to discuss the security of Bagram district and to highlight the recent successes of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). During this gathering the district Chief of Bagram, Abdul Qadusi, stressed the importance of U.S. and Afghan leaders working together and said, "The people of Bagram are thankful for the training the coalition has given to the Afghan Security Forces, the huge investment they've made, and for risking their lives to help make ours better. Having Shuras like this one is very important to discuss security, reconstruction, and building relationships." Also,
Task Force Solid Commander Lt. Col. Zachary Miller said, “We have a great relationship with this group of leaders. We’re partners working together. Gov. Qadusi and the maliks are working collectively to make things better for their people.”
In your opinion, how important is engagement of Afghan elders with Afghan and coalition security forces?
    Very respectfully,
