  • Ghani: Pakistan in a state of undeclared war with Afghanistan

    By On May 24, 2015 - 18:11

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Sunday while introducing Masoom Stanekzai as acting defence minister, said Pakistan was in a state of “undeclared war” with Afghanistan and peace with the neighboring state was of paramount importance.

Ghani introduced Massoum Stanikzai as acting defence minister, Lt. Gen. Abdul Khaliq as deputy defence minister and Lt. Gen. Qadam Shah as Chief of Army Staff, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.

“Our national army personnel are patriotic and brave and I take pride in them as a supreme commander,” the president said while addressing a gathering at MoD.

He Afghan security forces had considerable strength and nobody could overlook their power.

He directed the acting defence minister and other officials to take into consideration a rise in the amount of wages of the families of the lost soldiers and to set up a foundation in coordination with international organisations for helping these families.

The president also appreciated the work done by the health team of the MoD for saving lives of many wounded soldiers.

He reiterated that anybody who would use violence against people would be responded equally. “We don’t want war. This war has been imposed on us. We want lasting peace but would respond with full force.”

He again stressed that Afghanistan needed to have a peaceful co-existence with Pakistan in order to end the undeclared hostilities. “We need two kinds of peace. One is with Pakistan because this country is in an undeclared state of war with us.”

“We won’t back down even for a bit. Every person of this country should be assured that peace would occur in framework of the country’s constitution and the holy religion of Islam,” he concluded.

Don't worry he is a doctor or something so surely he knows what hes doing.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Looool, good point, the sarcasm is notable.

          I talked about this here:

Conversing the truth, lies and intelligence pertaining to the assessment of the Pashtun population across the Durrand line.

The reality is far different. They are Kiplingesque fools who accomplished next to nothing in the West so their inferiority complexes make then serve "the master" as some sort of "face of modernity" in their native countries.

          Take Ghani for instance -
He's almost as bad as Karzai (the former failed dishwasher whose own brother said he couldn't tolerate dish washing in their restaurant and preferred the chai khanaay of Quetta)

In academia, success is measured by TWO main measures, both of which show he is an abysmal failure - despite the common media platitudes of "academic" and genius etc etc etc like they did in the US with Paul Ryan and his retarded economic plan:

          1) High impact factor publications
          2) Tenure as a professor

          So regarding 1)
Here is a list of the impact factor journals in anthropology:

Here is an authorship search through Columbia:

Harvard's Hollis system produces similar scant results:

Basically, he's got next to nothing to list.

I read his book Fixing Failed States in 2013 and pretty much saw concepts in there that even Neocon godfather Fukayama had disavowed by now, yet this cockroach writes in circles about how "proper" international intervention should proceed while ignoring ground level realities what the strings attached often are.

          2) He achieved associate status but never full tenure professorship and remains a hanger on adjunct.

He produced next to nothing during his Fulbright year and his most recent articles are all think tank advocacy articles.

Ghani is more qualified than majority of heads of state. HE has never claimed to be the highest rank in academia. He is an academic of the level he is, with even longer professional background. Please go ahead and produce a qualified critique of his ideas, insults does not help.

In what appears to be a major policy shift, Pakistan is said to have delivered a ‘stern warning’ to the Afghan Taliban to immediately call off their ongoing spring offensive in Afghanistan or else face consequences.

The message was recently conveyed to the Taliban leadership through ‘intermediaries’, said a senior government official, who has the knowledge of this crucial move by Islamabad. “The Afghan authorities have also been in the loop,” said the official, who wished not to be named given the sensitivity of the matter
