''The Tolo News TV Channel quoting sources privy of the development said the agreement will also allow ISI to train and equip the Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel.''

So ISI will train and equip NDS.

So basically this just kicks all the Afghan nationalists and persiofascists arguments right up their own arses. They dont need Taliban to make Afghanistan its 5th province when these nationalists and persiofascists are just handing Afghanistan to them. What does Azmal, Marwat, Toramana and the other inept nationalists say about this.

It seems to me that you are an extremely ignorant individual.

This MoU really means nothing but will if anything remain as a superficial level contact between NDS and ISI. It will not embody anything, at most probably some insignificant officers who might have some form of engagement with the ISI. A close collaboration of any kind between the agencies of the two countries is a very good thing, but we are hardly there and the basis for it is non-existent. NDS as an agency which considers itself as guarding the national security of the Afghanistan fully and well understand the duplicitous role the ISI continues to play and the extent it is involved in backing the Taliban and other terrorist groups. Be sure of that.

Wait and see what will come out of it.

Beside, NDS has been trained and equipped by the worlds best agency I doubt they they have the slightest regard of feel of need to receiving help from ISI in this area. As an agency it operates better than any other on its own turf and is very competent. Sorry to kill your excitement.

maybe ISI want to learn some of the CIA tactics or they want to know how NDS collect intelligence. NDS is very much capable of, i follow them regularly and they are really going successful day by day.

NDS rejected that their operatives would be trained and equipped by Pakistan, this is a false report, the only MOU signed would allow Afghan intelligence and ISI jointly interrogate the detained insurgents.
off course it is just a paper work and does not mean anything on ground

ISI was rated one of best agencies in the world not long ago. NDS will benefit from ISI experience, seem like Afghanistan have decided to move on and cut all relations with RAW. Good news for both countries.

Now ISI instead of making Afghanistan miserable as its been doing since 60's, they instead now can train and equip NDS. And don't forget all the equipment Afghan forces got were 5th rate used trash at best, they don't trust afghans to hand over latest tech.

You just come up with more of the same claptrap lines ISI this and ISI that..

What equipment are you talking about exactly? What equipment the ISI could provide NDS? Are you are aware of what the NDS has and what it doesn't? Your army has been begging the U.S. for some of the those 5th rate trash.

And you just ignored that last month USA approved $1 billion arm deal for Pakistan. Including latest helicopters and missiles. In fact many Pakistanis were surprised by that news, thats how advance these things are. Afghanistan will probably have to wait 30 years before they can get hands on latest tech on today market.

CIA will not provide you more then some cheap radio phones. NDS will have to learn from the best, I mean from ISI.

Totally serious question, what actually makes the ISI one of the best intelligence organisations? Surely in terms of national security the ISI has failed to protect the lives of Pakistanis (from bombings) time and time again? 40,000 lives in 10 years I think the figure is.

That is not their job. Intelligence agencies like the CIA, MI5, ISI is having/controlling Assets outside of their borders.

The FBI is the top agency in america to track and monior suspicious individuals within their borders. so what is the FBI equivalent for Pakistan
