I consider this mistake on Ghani part to have plunged into the tension that exists between India and Pakistan. he sets an ultimatum for Pakistan to open up the border but pakistan will not do that until the Indian government shows more flexibility on talks regarding Kashmir. everyone know that. The complex equation of IndoPak is not something an Afghans can really tackle, and they shouldn't really try to tackle it because it is beyond them. Ghani need to make bilateral ties with both and should not try to extend it into a trilateral relationship.

Good security relations will be good if Pakistan was a normal country who at least wanted peace in the region, but they don't want that, they want weak Afghanistan and themself be the big bitch in the neighborhood like we live in the mughal times or something. This is not working, Pakistan don't want stability its a parasite that trieves on insecurity and missary of others.
This is just a facade, after 40 years every one know that pakis can not be trusted. Your dog will come talk and fart and will go back and send even more terrorist in to Afghanistan.

                  Marwat,

As Khostai mentioned, beyond which it does not concern our interest in a direct manner, Afghanistan is not interested in coming in between India and Pakistan's rancorous dispute over Kashmir. However, as far as our trade and economic relations are concerned, then the relationship with Pakistan will be on reciprocal basis. Pakistan provides us access to India and we provide them access to CAS.

I see the visit as a positive anxiety on the part of Pakistan. Pakistan needs Afghanistan economically more than Afghanistan would need Pakistan on a long-term basis, that is if you do not look at it from security or hostile perspective.

Anyway, Ghani has brilliant economic vision for the region and with right amount of cooperation Pakis and us could be the major beneficiaries.

I have an idea. We could decide on Spin Boldak and Waziristan as a free industrial zones where Afghan and Pak governments each agree to make initial capitalof $300 millions ready to support the project.

pakistan allow one way trade between india and Afghanistan, means india consumer market is available for afghan traders, also india offered to unload afghan truck at attari, which will remove the huge barrier currently afghan trader face.
                        http://indianexpress.com/article/ind...cks-at-attari/
Ghani called for allowing indian to access Afghanistan through wagah which is something not acceptable to pakistan and the decision is of strategic importance. the whole story of chabahar is circulating around that. if pakistan allow indian, chabahar is dead the next day. chabahar is strategically important to Afghanistan and central asia, so Ghani need to milk both cow.

china already gave us access to CAS, we can bypass Afghanistan, so you are overestimating your value, you need to access India and Arabian shores and can't do that

in short that route is not economically viable as Afghanistan provide and china does not provide access to all CAR countries. as they say Profit not made is a loss. you are not considering the fact that CAR is not a consumer market rather supplier one. they do not need your cement rather they want to sell their natural resources, and Afghanistan provide the only natural route. chabahar and gawadar had to compete.
