The Taliban militants group are trying to match the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) brutality by beheading the targeting and beheading Hazaras.
According to a lawmaker in the Lower House of the Parliament β Wolesi Jirga, the latest atrocities shows that the Taliban militants are trying to show they are as bad as ISIS.
βThe Taliban are trying to send out a new message that they are similar in their brutality to ISIS,β Shahgul Rezaye, a Hazara member of Parliament told the New York Times.
The remarks by Rezaye comes as Taliban militants beheaded four civilians in southeastern Ghaniz province of Afghanistan shortly after they were abducted.
At least six more people who were believed to be Hazaras were killed by the militants after they were kidnapped from Daikundi province.
According to reports the six captives were also beheaded, spreading alarm and anger among the people.
This comes as militants also abducted 31 members of the minority Shiite Hazara community on Feb. 24 in southern Zabul province of Afghanistan from two vehicles on a major road.
Mohammad Mohaqiq, senior Shiite community leader and deputy to Chief Executive officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, confirmed that the 31 Hazaras have been kidnapped by militants belonging to Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants.
He said two former Taliban leaders β Mullah Abdullah Kaka and his deputy Mullah Mansur Dadullah, who pledged allegiance to ISIS terrorist group, were responsible for the abduction of 31 members of the minority Shiite Hazara community.
There are still no reports regarding the fate of the abducted passengers with provincial council officials saying one of the hostages was killed while another one who was an elder person died in captivity.
However, Mohaqiq said earlier this month that the hostages are still alive and are being held in different areas by the militants who have slip them up into three or four groups.
