Btw Toramana these Punjabis are so arrogant and infatuated with the concept of "Pakistan" (Punjabistan i.e. the only time in history that Punjabi Muslims have had a state) that even us Bengalis are not safe from them.
1. They are still obsessed with us and want, no actually demand and expect "friendship" i.e. a Bangladesh that is pro-Pakistan and despite the genocide loves Pakistan.
This is because as a very new country with no real history except that of 70 years, the 20+ years of union with Bangladesh occupies a greater percentage of their (Punjabi) total very short history, and they want a crypto-"East Pakistan" to make themselves feel better.
They assume the default position is that Bengalis must have a "soft spot" for Pakistanis (Punjabis) despite the massacre of possibly 1/2 a million people and mass rape.
So when Bengalis do not have that "default pro-Pakistan position" they assume we must have in their arrogance they are baffled.
2. They support radicals and terrorists in our country and have even been involved in plans to organize coups and murder the current prime minister Hasina.
These traitors may have been kicked out in 1971 but they have never truly left and still want a "pro-Pakistan", Bangladesh.
They have even got the Turkish regime involved in this.
3. Also if anyone were stupid to expect "friendship" from these traitors one will see the following things:
- Pakistan military selling arms to Bangladesh which turned out to be junk, i.e. we were cheated and paid for useless goods.
- Pakistani cricket authorities treating the Bangladesh cricket team badly and not giving them the protocol that they deserve e.g. they made our cricket team fly in a 2nd class plane (something like that), which they'd never do to any other country.
- Turning the Muslim bloc against us for trying war criminals, whom they have glorified as "Pakistani patriots", even though the Bangladeshi courts were trying Bangladeshi citizens who killed Bangladeshi civilians on Bangladeshi soil.
- Treating the 2-3 million Bengalis in Karachi like dirt, in a humiliating and degrading manner.
Whereas we essentially leave them alone and don't get involved in anything to do with them e.g. comment on their internal affairs e.g. MQM, Balochis etc.
So yes we did defeat them in the 1971 war but they are still a threat to us, and I personally hope to see the dismantling of that state so we can breathe easily.
