They are separatists. They want freedom from Pakistan, which makes them separatists. That's practically the definition of the term.

And they have nothing to do with Islamism. They're ethnic nationalists.

Just few days ago Indian Currency was recovered from a bunch of terrorists in Chaman, Balochistan.

So who is funding these separatists isn't a rocket science to understand.

I don't know about this picture, but I've never denied that the rebels receive support from India. In fact, I'm sure Afghan intelligence probably helps them too. Almost all liberation movements are aided in one way or another by outside powers that are equally repressive and just looking out for their own interests. But that doesn't mean the cause is wrong. The fact that unsavory people help a movement is not a valid criticism of the struggle itself. That's why I also support Kashmiri self-determination, even though the separatists there are supported by the Pakistani state.

Even if they will get the so called freedom from Pakistan (that too is too hard to happen) nothing is going to change. The common man will be a slave to the separatists!

The separatists are fighting for the freedom of their people while the security forces are kidnapping students and torturing them to death. I think I know who the average Baloch would prefer living with.

Enough with the racism. You can articulate your political views without being hateful and bigoted.

today they are the slaves of 'punjabis', tomorrow they will be slaves of sardars and the sardars will be slaves of global corporations who will monopolize their oil, gas, and mineral resources.

only way i can respect their cause is if they abolish sardari system and nationalize their natural resources protecting it from greedy companies, but that won't happen. they are being supported by westerners to redraw map of greater mid east, the same map they drew before.

btw many of those filthy punjabis, also have baloch origins, there are big baloch communities settled in punjab for generations

many innocent baloch have been targetted by the same rebels, they benefit most from painting a bloody picture. the stronger force will always be in the wrong, people never blame the underdog

This is exactly what supporters of Israel say about the Palestinians.

and you can't compare the two, palestine is in even worse sitution, there is no embargo on baloch, they are free to travel to no baloch area, study, work whatever, palestinians don't have same luxury.

nowadays everybody throws this cliche of being treated like palestinian

I was comparing your argument to the arguments of Israel supporters, when you say things like, "Baloch terrorism also exists," "People naturally support underdogs," "The rebels actually like it when the army reacts," etc.

An honest comparison can't be made between the violence of the rebels and the violence of the state, because 1) they are completely different in scale, and 2) the violence of the oppressed is fundamentally different from the violence of the oppressor. Only in a world where context and history does not matter would your comparison between the two hold water.

A person from my home town told me that he was traveling from DG Khan to Balochistan , their bus was stopped by Baloch rebels, he was spared because he was pashtun while Punjabis were shot. Now i have also read some news article that pashtun labourers were killed by BLA in gwader or khuzdar area but those might be exceptional cases. Their policy seem to be killing punjabis who are found on their lands. The problem with such tactics, is that your movement lose sympathy.

I have watched the video on youtube, of Pakistani aerial bombardment on dera bugti in 2006, with civilian deaths shown lying in debris, including kids. Very few people are aware of that, it seems Pakistan also use air force on Baloch population and there is truth in claims of Baloch rebels. India has never used Air force against insurgents in Kashmir.
