  • Afghanistan must share power with Taliban, says Musharraf

Lol---Pakis are treating the meek Ashraf Ghani as a kid. That is why Afghans are considering Ashraf Ghani a useless crony.

Can anyone tell this retired Khaki not to interfere in the affairs of a sovereign nation? Has n't he learnt that those cave scorpions, talibans are the worst enemy of Pakistan, on a larger scale enemy of the whole civilized world.

OK. Now this dude is embarrassing whole Pakistani nation.

He is publicly accepting that Pakistan was/is supporting terrorists and will continue to do so if Afghanistan don't share power with Pakistani puppets.

This is really embarrassing for Pakistani government. He should not be allowed to speak on Media openly to defame Pakistan like this. He is earning more enemies and more hate from Afghan people toward Pakistanis & Pakistan.

Here he goes again, trying to create trouble in Afghanistan. Mr. Musharraf, first you guys created the Taliban (by your own admission) & helped them take over Afghanistan as it suited your purpose. Then you allowed the US to launch an attack on the same Taliban from your soil because it suited your purpose. And now you want a democratically elected government in Afghanistan to share power with the same Taliban? Sir, you have absolutely no credibility to tell the Afghans what they should or should not do. You have already inflicted enough pain on them by playing the duplicitous games that you did. Please leave them alone.

This guy just won't shut up. Ashraf Ghani said Musharraf was an atavism and irrelevant, the last time he opened his chatter box in reference to proxies in Afghanistan.

Mullah Omar is a hated figure in Afghanistan because he is a stooge of Pakistan. This guy is living in the past.

Afghanistan has moved on and Pakistani leaders are in step with this development. Musharraf's narrative is divisive, polarizing and anachronistic.

Has he gone mad? A military general talking pro terrorists. This is the reason why Pakistan is in such state today.

So basically his and Pakistan's position towards the Afghans is: You may have elections but you still have to allow Taliban to rule you and you have to keep India out or else we Pakistan will not let you live in peace. Essentially Pakistan should rule Afghanistan and determine its policies. Good going.

why ? The Taliban don't represent anyone they are just a mafia with guns. Should Pakistan share power with the TTP ?

Waha re Musharaf.., while in power you denied any link with Taliban..., and you were front man fighiting Taliban alongside USA.

In India we knew you had sympathy for Taliban...

Today since you are not responsible, you are openely telling you supported Taliban.

    That exposes Pakistans policy...

World knows that. And for this double standard at world stage hardly anybody believes you guys..

If the headline is not misleading or mis-constructed by an incompetent editor; then, I must say that this man has gone bonkers. Like a failed actor he's trying to grab attention by making silly stupid comments. Musharraf should know better as he's been the president of the country and the head of the Pakistani military - about what to say and what not to say. Why does he want the world to ridicule his country and make a mockery of the current leadership?

Musharaf lost all his credibility when OBL was found quietly living in Abottabad

This is embarrassing. The things he keeps saying just to remain relevant and newsworthy. Some people never know when their time has come to call it quits. Move on general sahib ...... no one is listening.

Why doesn't anyone think of what is good for the Afghan people? Would Gen, Musharaf and a majority of middle class Pakistanis want to be under the rule of Mullah Omar and his brand of Islam? Don't we owe it to the Afghan people to think positively for them - especially since our country, along with the USA and the now non-existent USSR have been instrumental in destroying the country! Let's think in human terms for a change.

somebody stop this man from speaking in public forums.

Failed former Pakistani military dictator, Musharraf, blamed by many in Pakistan for its current crisis due to unleashing war against Afghans/Pashtuns.

Hah. Abdullah's on board with these useless talks too, since he's in government. Why was he jumping up and down and screaming to everyone before that negotiations would not work? Pashtuns need leaders who actually have principles, not these cowards.

I disagree---I don't give a rat about principle or ghirat or what not as long as the leader servers Pashton interest. Look at this pakis rats--he have nothing.
It looks like Abdullah Abdullah is indeed on board, contraire of what people think that the national unity government has created a weak government---it has created a powerful government—both Ghani and Taliban enemy—Abdullah are in gov—there is no opposition that can object to talks.
Either way—if talks is successful and Taliban join the gov—it will not serves Pakistan interest at all—for no matter who comes to power in Kabul---it will be anti-pakistan.

Mr.Musharraf should stop partying with prostitutes so much and getting drunk in Dubai so he can stop making stupid comments like this. If Afghanistan should share power with terrorists, so should pakistan since these laky's basically fund the taliban.

these are the more crucial time in history of Afghanistan, Afghan Taliban are certainly negotiating from a weak position, it's ble ble for Afghan. Mullah omar is not that much donkey as people consider him, he don't have much choice but to sit in islamabad upto now, otherwise he will never forget when pakistan take u-turn and rode their ass after 9,11. relation between Afghan taliban, Al Qaeda and pakistan is not that much simple.

Musharraf needs to retire and shut up. Maybe Pakistan should stop interfering in Afghan affairs? I think that's a better route than sharing power with their puppets, i.e. the present day Taliban.
