  • Afghan government's campaign against gender violence

Afghanistan has launched a nationwide campaign to curb violence against women as government statistics show a rapid increase in gender-based violence. Since the fall of the Taliban in 2001 there has been significant progress for women’s rights but challenges still remain. Rula Ghani, the wife of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, has pledged to promote women and children’s rights and to empower and inspire women and children in Afghanistan.
In Your opinion, what actions could be taken to eliminate gender violence?

More and more co-educational institutions thus women do not remain creatures of another planet for Afghan men .

This will not only make women educated but also the gap, suspense and curiosity of men for women will reduce and will consider women as their equal partners and not sub-humans. They will not be considered as weaker gender and thus no violence.

Afghans are incredibly stupid people though. They will say: "Our daughters are becoming prostitutes" if you educate girls.

what will ashraf ghani be doing for the family five member of which were slaughtered as a result of a refused marriage proposal?? or the woman who ended up selling her 5th child for 400 dollars so she could put a roof over the heads of the other four of her kids after she was abandoned by her husband with no source of income?? why are these men not forced to pay child support??
