Iranians or Arabs? Whom would you go with?

Arabs are the worst enemies of Pashtuns. They have destroyed the very fabric of Pashto, Pashtunwali and Pashtun way of life. Islamism has played havoc with Pashtun society. Pashtuns now imitate Arabs in every thing. Arabs have no civilization, no culture, no science, no literature. They are real morons.
Persians are great people. They are our neighbors. Shia Islam is better than Wahabism. They have great culture and literature. Pashtun can learn a lot from them. Arabs can give you only fatwas on terrorism and suicide bombings. IfPersians love their language, it is their greatness. I hate Arabs, I love persians.

Many of our enemies can say the same thing about us. A people with no culture or literature who emerged from the hindu kush mountains bringing tribalism down with them. Come on Badlun, cut the crap, you sound no different from the Iranians who blame Arabs for their short comings and their conversion to Islam. What has an Arab done to you anyways? Every Pashtun i have met speaks well of Arabs and we see them as brothers in Islam unlike many Persians who chose to abandon Islam.Originally posted by Badlun View PostArabs are the worst enemies of Pashtuns. Can you tell me why most Pashtuns from both Afghanistan and Pakistan chose to migrate the gulf regions instead of Iran or any other middle eastern nation? When was the last time a gulf arab hanged, beat or spoke ill of Pashtuns? Iran is dangerous for Pashtuns and other afghans, its a toltorian nation that abuses human rights not only of immigrants but its own people.
I see Iran no different from North Korea.Last edited by Kushan Prince; 01-22-2015, 08:06 PM."Revenge is a dish best served cold".

The economy of the Gulf states is booming, whereas Iran's economy is suffering because of the sanctions and the economy of other Middle-Eastern states does not allow for the import of labour on this scale or the import of labour that Pashtuns do (mainly construction). When an economy is booming, you need labour. Cheap labour that is and the cheaper the better. That's what we are for the Gulf states. Certainly not 'brothers in Islam'. Labour migrants in the Gulf states are treated like absolute ****; they don't get decent pay, their living conditions are horrible and the suicide rates amongst these laborers are horrifying. Now that I think about it, not very long ago there was a video on the internet of how an Afghan labour immigrant was severely beaten (and even raped if I remember correctly) by someone from an influential family. Needless to say, nobody was prosecuted for that crime.Originally posted by Kushan Prince View Post

I don't have anything against Arabs or Iranians and don't really prefer one over the other. There will be bad and good people everywhere. The things I said about the situation of immigrants in the Gulf does not mean that everything is great in Iran or other countries in the Middle-East. Far from. But the Arabs, and Gulf Arabs especially, are no saints and life for Pashtuns over there is everything but great (unless you have your own business and are your own boss obviously).

You are very misinformed. Most of the labour in the gulf is done by punjabis from pakistan not Pashtuns. Not denying that Pashtuns don't do such jobs, but very less compared to Punjabis. Most Pashtuns in the gulf drive taxis, own restaurants, jewellery stores and own independent businesses. The Afghan man tortured was not a labourer but a business owner from Jalalabad. The tourterer was a member of the royal family so there was no way justice would have been served for the afghan man. It would have made UAE look bad if the royal family did indeed jail him. I think you are ignoring the fact that Afghans were banned from 9 provinces in Iran for no reason at all. That's much worse than working a **** job.Originally posted by Zarim View PostThe economy of the Gulf states is booming, whereas Iran's economy is suffering because of the sanctions and the economy of other Middle-Eastern states does not allow for the import of labour on this scale or the import of labour that Pashtuns do (mainly construction). Our culture and literature are thousands of times more advanced than those of the post Islam Arabs. Yes Arabs had great poetry before Islam. We have our folklore, our poetry, our prose, our dance, our music. One Khushal Baba can be compared to any great poet of the world.Originally posted by Kushan Prince View PostMany of our enemies can say the same thing about us. Arabs speak better of Pashtuns because they accepted their Islamism wholeheartedly. We have the worst terrorists of the world. In Gulf , Pashtuns are the best hard working slaves.
People migrate because of oil and economy. Iran does not provide that opportunity. People also go to Kafir countries for better employment.
Iran , now because of Mullahs have problems, otherwise it will be great nation and a Pashtun friendly country. I prefer Shia Islam to Islamism of Arabs because it does not promote terrorism.

Yes but it is sill worng to claim that his policies killed 2 million Afghans, when in fact he did not had that much power and Afghanistan was in a civil war, where mudjhahids killed the same amount of people if not more with their own bombing and killings programms during Sovjet invasion and after the invasion they killed even more.Originally posted by Pishdad View PostNajibullah was a ****ty "precident" who was responsible for torturing and murdering thousands of his countrymen. Before making policies he was head of KHAD, what a noble figure! He only adopted the reconciliation program for political survival. He was a Russian puppet through thick and thin.

I am sure you are right about the vast majority of Pashtuns not doing hard manual labor. But what exactly does that change? Are the Punjabis not brothers in Islam as well? So in the end, simply because Pashtuns are in a better situation (financially) than Punjabis, the latter are treated like animals. But then what is the treatment of Pashtuns in comparison to the white Europeans there? Are we not the 'Punjabis' in that equation? Brotherhood implies a certain level of equality or at the very least respect. Nothing makes the UAE look more bad than not prosecuting the perpetrator because he is a member of the royal family. At the end of the day, all the leaders in the Gulf care about is money and money does not have a religion. Same goes for Iran or any other country in the region. Neither is better than the other. And maybe the treatment of the Afghans in Iran is more harsh because of exactly what you mentioned? The Afghans in Iran are usually cheap labour-providers, whereas those in the UAE are better off financially? Either way, I don't think either of these areas of the world are particularly good towards Afghans.Originally posted by Kushan Prince View PostYou are very misinformed. He sided with the invaders. The majahideen had the moral high ground since they were defending their land.Originally posted by Khostai View PostYes but it is sill worng to claim that his policies killed 2 million Afghans, when in fact he did not had that much power and Afghanistan was in a civil war, where mudjhahids killed the same amount of people if not more with their own bombing and killings programms during Sovjet invasion and after the invasion they killed even more.
BTW, did you notice Karzais and Ghanis reconciliation kind of mirrors Najibs when they were/are losing. When you dont know history, you are doomed to repeat it. Eventually the US is going to tire funding the fake Afghan gov. and you will see a repeat of 92-96 era.

Ghani is not changing the constitution or the whole name of the country and its political stance, what Najibullah did, and by the way the Ghani era with US leaving is diffrent from that of USSR and Najibullah, becuase Najibullah goverment fell down becuase it was boycoted by the whole world only Russia supported it, who letter also cut the support, but now US is not going to cut the support and the whole world is not boycoting the goverment, so I don't think it is the same situation altough there are some similarities....Originally posted by khushal View PostHe sided with the invaders. I have heard stories about Ulomi and Sherzai. I heard back in the 80's when Ulomi was commander of Kandahar forces. He and Sherzai would stage fake battles against each other to get more funding. Ulomi would get more arms and funding from the Soviets and Sherzai would get funding from the Saudis and America, and then they would sell the arms on the black market.
