Nothing wrong with modern and civilized but your way is creating a violent reaction from the people that you claim to love. Your trying to build an America out of Afghanistan in one day. Well, you know the saying "Rome was not built in a day," and neither was america. Its gonna take decades for Afghanistan to become modernized. Let the people do it themselves when they are ready just like America did it. Bringing in foreign soldiers to bomb your people is not good for anyone.

Well Dubai was modernized quickly after the discovery of oil in the 1960s, from deserts to roads and from tents to Skyscrapers in less then a decade. I think Afghanistan also can become that developed in less than a decade. But of course that all depends on how serious Afghans are for modernization and change and also if the Ghani gov will finally exploit the billion dollars of minerals sitting under the mountains.

Your forgetting that Afghanistan doesn't only contain Pashtuns but tajiks, hazaras and uzbeks who are not tribal. Even Ghani dropped his tribal name last month, i think he's trying to tell Pashtuns to further themselves away from tribalism. The only thing that Afghanistan has to worry about is Pakistan, they clearly do not a stable or developed Afghanistan, other than that Pashtuns are going to have to put their trust issues aside and negotiate a plan with foreign countries (especially their neighbours) to start a development plan for Afghanistan.

Have you seen the blueprint for the new Kabul city plan? the development has already started underway with the construction of those new apartments.

Well, they took over the country when there were no foreigners in the country without a fight and no afghan group could depose them, it had to be done by a foreign military force.

Yes he was a finance minister back in 2003. He has two degrees if am not mistaken with one being in Economics, although thats what i have been told. Only time well tell than if they will fail or not. Regardless Afghanistan is already on its way to being modernized. Check out the new kabul city plan.
