Dostum 2Afghanistan’s 1st vice president Abdul Rashid Dostam says thousands of anti-government elements will join the peace process in coming days.
Abdul Rashid Dostam is on a special mission to northern Afghanistan to clear that area from the anti-government elements.

They supported warlords of the north, who built some new (but tastless) houses there, for the ordinary people there is not that of a diffrence so I doubt their would be war between south and north.

Afghanistan did not had any war between south and North, it was always mixed between diffrent groups, but never strictly Farsiban against the Pashtun, so I doubt similar thing would happen in the future.

I think 2015 will be bloody year with a big test for Afghanistan, there is a chance is they will fall down to Taliban, wha I hope will not happen, but it can also happen that Ghani dilivers his promise and makes a competent goverment who at least can safeguard stability and developmnet, even though the corruption will not go away 100%.

I think the way Karzai rulled will not come back, its either taliban take over, like ISIS in Irak, or Afghanistan goverment gets it toghether and developes in to a normal country.

GhaniPresident Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has promised to introduce the cabinet of the Government of National Unity in less than one week.
During a meeting with a delegation of the Afghan lawmakers led by house speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, President Ghani said the majority of issues for the formation of the new cabinet have resolved and the nominees would be introduced in the near future.
The Afghan lawmakers called on President Ghani this evening to seek clarification regarding the delays for the formation of the new cabinet, amid growing concerns that the two leaders are still having differences to name the new cabinet ministers.
In the meantime, President Ghani said that the introduction of the cabinet ministers would not take more than one week time.
He appreciated the concerns among the Afghan people and members of the parliament regarding the delays to announce the nominees to house of representatives.
President Ghani also insisted that the new ministers should remain accountable to the President, house of representatives and the people of Afghanistan.
The cabinet of the Government of National Unity has not been announced despite three months have passed since the formation of the new government.
President Ghani and chief executive officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah were sworn in on Monday 29th September 2014 after the two leaders agreed to form a Government of National Unity.
President Ghani had promised to announce the cabinet within 45 days after taking the office as the new president of the country.

Ghani did what he promised. The problem is that Abdullah and company is preventing Ghani from delivering what needs to be done. We need to remember that Abdullah got all the support from warlords/criminals, therefor Abdullah is doing everything to prevent Ghani from creating a well established Afghanistan.

Noor angrily reacts on his inclusion in NATO targeted killings list

atta_mohammad_noorAta Mohammad Noor, an influential political figure and the governor of northern Balkh province, raised questions regarding the assassination of political figures in Afghanistan following reports on inclusion of his name in NATO targeted killings list.
Speaking during a press confrence in Mazar-e-Sharif city on Wednesday, Noor said the foreigners are apparently involved in assassination of political figures, if NATO had included his name in targeted killings list to eliminate him.
Noor pointed towards the assassination of former president Burhanuddin Rabbani and Gen. Daud Daud who were both killed in separate suicide attacks.
He said the commander of the coalition forces Gen. John Campbell has spoken with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in this regard and clarified that the addition of a name in the list did not necessarily mean that NATO was looking to assassinate that specific individual.
Noor said he has remained committed in war against terrorism with the international community and criticized the German magazine for publishing the report, insisting that he will seek clarification in this regard.
According to the Germany’s week news magazine, Der Spiegel, Noor was added to the list of Joint Prioritized Effects List (JPEL) in 2010, among the candidates who were only listed as being under observation or to be taken into custody.
Der Spiegel, citing the classified intelligence files from the NSA, GCHQ, and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from the archive of whistleblower Edward Snowden, reported that in October 2008 the NATO defense ministers made the momentous decision that drug networks would now be “legitimate targets” for ISAF troops.
The report said “Narcotics traffickers were added to the Joint Prioritized Effects List (JPEL) list for the first time.”
According to the report, Noor had become wealthy through smuggling in the turmoil of war, and he was seen as someone who ruthlessly eliminated his enemies. He was listed as number 1,722 on the NATO list and given a priority level of three, but NATO merely collected information about Noor, rather than placing him on the kill list.

Ata Mohammad Noor, an influential political figure and the governor of northern Balkh province, raised questions regarding the assassination of political
