Karzai was a smart leader. He knew how to deal with the bullying of the West. But since Ghani has come to power, he has compromised on Afghan interests and sovereignty severely. And that is still going on and is to gain momentum in future.

Look at the issue of Latif Mehsud. Although, Afghanistan doesn't have any extradition treaty with Pakistan, Americans handed Latif Mehsud to Pakis thus violating Afghan sovereignty. And Ghani has yet to say a word about that.

Many Afghans that I am talking too see a conspiracy in Ghani's assumption of power and and are calling him a man of the West to materialize their regional agenda.

Indians have thought Afghans a useful lesson that no external power (friend or foe) have ever thought Afghans…that to have patience and use cold and distractive war to bleed your enemy---what Pakistan has been doing to Afghanistan and Pashtons for years and years. Before this, external power were boasting the big ego of Afghans and were calling them "owners of banner of Islam", " nation of martyr", and "Mujahedin e Sar ba kaf", they were putting big hat on empty head of Afghans and then were laughing their ass off. I think taking stock of how he delivers in his first 6 months once his cabinet is formed and how his government functions and performs at the end of his first year in the government would be more fair. How he took over wasn't really ideal and he has to take his time to overcome some given obstacles. I had and still have faith in him, hopefully he will be good for Afghanistan.

Agreed! I see those groups that back him in election and had their eyes on gov post being disappointed--thus badmouthing him. I known him and his family since I was a kid, he has the character of a good leader, which Karzia lack. He is decisive and has strong personality what he lack is patience and gets angry fast---true Pashtons! Lol When he was finance minster in newly formed afghan gov after 911, he stood tall against Fahim and refused to pay salary of Fahim thugs(fahim claim to have 80000 troops.) Even when Fahim threaten him he did not back down. Nonetheless the task at hand is enormous and the Punjshir thugs are active too. Imagine Basir Salangi—a known uneducated, thief and thugs being interior minister---what a shame! Our pray are with him, may god make it easy for him and afghan nation---both lar aw bar Afghans!
