WRONG! India is definitely a better place for minorities than Pakistan, but you seem to think it's some sort of a paradise. What happened in Gujarat in 2002? 2,000 Muslims were slaughtered, that's what. And there were so many anti-Muslim riots during the '90s. Christians and Sikhs are also treated terribly.

You can speak out against the policies of the Pakistani state, but that doesn't mean you have to align yourself with India and try to gloss over the violence of Hindu fanatics.

Where have I said it is a paradise, I for fact now how low castes for example are treated there. I even made thread about showing plite of the low castes. However, compared to muslim nations, especially pakistan, india is much much better place for a minority. Also even if there are bigger problems in the future for muslims in India, they can handle it themselves, there are 200 millions muslims there after all, they dont need people coming from central asia to help them. People like Asad are living in a different time

How minorities are treated good? I dont deny that there are good civilians but there rotten eggs that are quite racist too.And generally those racists or extremists dont allow good relations to be built between minorities and hindu major populations...Example are borders.Everywhere on borders indian govt have been in wars.China,pakistan,nepal (not now),sri lanka tamil...Some left minorities are nalaxites and budhists ...Kashmiris are still suffering.Muslim are sent to torture cells...its like a hindu might without justice.Christians were once targeted.Dallits are saying they are original inhabitants and are considered 2nd class.

In india...media is portraying good relations with muslims...but it ll be appreciated more if they do it on practical enmass level...esp kashmiris.

The police is not only corrupt but brutal in dealing civilians.

Minorities are not treated properly there...esp muslims.Reccent incident of poor muslims being dodged in the name of BPL cards with fire ceremony and then declaring them as hindus in media is just one examplr.Not to mention kashmir.Muzaffargarh has genocude going on.The bajrang dal group with supportof their pm is harbouring hindu extremists...

India is a secular country even if majority is Hindu. The laws of the country are not based on Hinduism and even if they were I am sure Hinduism doesn't allow prosecution of people from other religions. In accordance with Indian law the people who who do break the law in regards to the rights of other people, are punished. Th Hindus and Muslims should join together to make sure these laws are enforced for the betterment of the whole community. There are bigots and extremists in every religion and these are unfortunately the people who know the least about the true meaning of religion even if they do perform the most rituals. The highest truth of all religions is love and cocompassion.

Muslims are supposed to co_exist not befriend hindus.Apparantly the laws in islam for treating non muslims with mercy appears same as that of co_esxistance but there are differences.I ll post about this sometime inshAllah.
Befriending in islam goes in depth.Like sharing deep secrets of ummah around the globe and its problems,going out in expeditions for the sake of Allah,dawah,opening of new islamic university,looking after muslim orphans,marriages,ceremonies, making sure the safety of muslims within non islamic country or land etc...these are things that cant be shared with non muslims in depth because of differences in religion even though they live in same region.
But mercy to non muslims is like helping non muslims when they are in trouble or ill for the sake of humanity,treat them with respect and justice,will not harm until they start oppressing,deal with them in trades,accept gifts if they send etc etc...

See above and look for differences.Befriending and coexistance is different.The rest is almost same.Muslims have been living with peace with jews,christians ,hindus,zoroastrians for centuries.But today muslims are oppressed from every side...partly blame goes to muslims for abandoning the deen and partly to islamophobia...which is prevelant in hindu extremists too.
