KABUL: The life of former President Hamid Karzai, who challenged American designs in Afghanistan and defied to be a man of the straw, has been under danger as Americans want infiltration into his security guards.
Leaked documents to media say that life of ex-President Karzai has been under danger and he should be careful as Americans are trying for the past 45 days to buy some of his security guards allegiance and loyalty. The document adds that Americans raided the house of one of Karzai’s security guards and searched his house for explosives and illegal guns. “First he was offered perks to buy his loyalty and when he categorically turned down American offer, they raided his house. It was a pressurizing tactic. However, the documents add that the nature of the cooperation from the guard is unclear until now. They (the Americans) tried to buy his loyalty but they couldn’t. Delving into Afghanistan’s history one finds it out easily that most of Afghan leaders have been assassinated by foreigners. And it has created political instability all the time when a leader has been assassinated. Since Karzai had been a staunch opponent to certain US policies in Afghanistan and as well as in the region.
