To be fair, the TTP is almost entirely out of the control of the army's hands. In the past few years, they've carried out a number of attacks against army targets. The Pakistani establishment probably control elements of the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani Network, but the TTP has splintered into a bunch of different groups, almost all of which are anti-Pakistan.
