I agree with Khostai. US and other Western powers are trying to manipulate the politics of the region to their own advantage. On the one hand, it is showering rewards on General Sharif on the other is signing BSA with Afghan govt---at the same time are keeping their doors open to the Taleban that are reconcilable and don't have global agenda, They may be useful in their future strategy against other powers in Asia.
Afghans should not trust the US, UK, and some other Western powers. It is true that all nations care about their own interests but West has taken it to the extreme. It would be better for Afghans to reduce dependence on the West or at least balance it with strong ties with other powers. India can be the better friend and partner. Both Afg and India have similar security concerns.
Russia, China, Iran, the Central Asian states can be honest partners. Rather Afg should shift its trade relations and routes to all other neighbours minus Pakistan.
And never trust Pakistan. The ruling classes of Pakistan are possibly the most ignoble depraved people on the face of earth.
