Social media in Afghanistan is making a positive impact amongst the younger generation (which forms 60 percent of the population). Social media platforms are bridging the gaps between the citizens and government and playing an important role in changing societies by exchanging information about, discussing, and debating different topics. Social networking makes kids more peer-based.
Young people are motivated to learn from their peers online. They interact and receive feedback from one another; they are motivated to learn more from each other than from adults. Teachers and adults are no longer the only sources of knowledge. Social media makes younger generation of Afghanistan more networked than ever before.
How do you evaluate the impact of social media in Afghanistan?
