    Afghan Refugees in Pakistan

    Feb 3, 2014 | 23

For more than three decades, Pakistan has been home to one of the world's largest refugee communities: the more than one million Afghans who have fled years of warfare in their home country. Living in temporary shelters along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border -- and cared for by the the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Pakistan's government, and numerous international care agencies -- this massive and persistent population remains vulnerable to multiple dangers, from outbreaks of disease to violence spilling over from the war next door. Associated Press photographer Muhammed Muheisen has spent the past several years in Pakistan, documenting the lives of these refugees, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable: the children caught up in the chaos as their families try to keep them safe. Muheisen's portraits below are part of the ongoing series here on Afghanistan.

    So what is their future?
The children of rich afghans are fine .In pashtunkhwa many of them now permanantly settled here but what about those million of children suffering in poor condition in camps.
No education and future for them here why?
afghanistan have no interest in these children nor in refugees.
Pakistan do,nt care for them so as UN .
These poor children will grow up with no future, education and could be use by pakistani agencies for violence and terorr.
Their land is taken by the locals in afghanistan so they can not even go there.

If the afghan govt is not able to take them back then they should be settled here in pashtunkhwa and southren -pashtunkhwa(quetta area).
They are not refugees in pashtunland.Pashtun are same people and they should be allowed to live here with access to education like all other citizens.
This suffering of pashtun children is too much.
pashtuns of both side should speak out for their rights.
