  • Good job, Hamid Karzai

I'm not a fan of Hamid Karzai, but links to this article started making the rounds on social media, and I have to say, as a Pashtun from Pakistan, I was very impressed:

Karzai told the refugees, “You are at your own homes and you will live here like owners."

It's a disgrace that Waziris couldn't find refuge in Balochistan or Sindh, because ethnic nationalists from both provinces wouldn't allow it. (Needless to say, Punjab was off limits too.) Things like this demonstrate the strong social and cultural bonds we Pashtuns share, even though we've lived divided from each other for so long.

    well done karzai sb.
afghanistan and pashtunkkhwa are same land and people.
No one should use the term ,,maajar,,,.
No matter how many lines others wants to draw we pashtuns should continue supporting eachothers.
Durandline was never and never will be a border.
pashtuns will never accept durandline as a border.

Support pashto language and greater pukhtoonkhwa.

Another Pakistani Pashtun, Bakhtiyar Ghazi Khan, in the comments:

Pashtoons in both Afg and Pak curse Karzai daily. I doubt these tribals are from Pakistan, maybe they are TTP and other puppets of India. Southern Afghanistan is off limits to Karzai government.

Afghanistan has always been their home and will always be.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Al-Afghani, I read that comment and I also think it's stupid, but please don't focus on the trolls. Let's instead celebrate these rare and hopeful moments of solidarity among our people.

Pashtuns on both sides not only in war time but in peace time can cooperate with each other in the fields of commerce, language, culture and literature.

As Germans in Switzerland can better understand Germans of Germany, similarly Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan can become a bridge between the two countries.

Wrora, Al Afghani is a Tajik ethnic fascist and a separatist. Don't mind him and I will recommend that you put him in ignore list. He is one of those trollers nowadays. His sole purpose in this forum is to defame Pashtuns and make us fight amongst ourself.

I merely reposted a comment from the Tribune website. It's relevant to the topic, I don't see how that's trolling.

The fact is that Afghan and Paki Pashtuns differ in opinion. The patriotic Pashtuns across the border certainly don't like Karzai after all the abuse he hurled at Pakistan during the years.

No pashtuns on both sides dont differ in opinion,..only problem is to awake pashtuns from plain areas...and with each passing day inshAllah they ll emerge as one unity...though i view this unity religious point nof view more than political et ..still.
