If a person gain increased influence for his cause, doesn't mean he have abandon his cause. Imran khan isn't going to benefit Pashtuns nor is his focus on them either. So I see no reason why Achakzai should support him in any way.

If he can gain more influence through Nawaz, hence gain more influence for his cause, then I see no reason why he shouldn't support that man.

The only one who is supporting war on their own people is Taliban. They destroyed Pashtun areas in Afghanistan and nor did they spare the Pashtun areas in Pakistan.

I am no fan of USA, in fact I do despise them, but nevertheless, they did rebuild Afghanistan from the scratch. Big economic growth, better infrastructure, an army Afghanistan on it own couldn't have achieved in 100 years.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

achakzai, sherpao, afsandyar, diesel or durrani they are all afraid of Imran khan rise.

*They will loose the cause as they want Pashtuns to remain illiterate so they are being supported by illiterate pashtuns, while imran khan in near future will make KPK the most literate province in Pakistan

Another reason is if PTI does complete the 5years in KPK,They will complete all the projects and reform they have taken so far now.

PTI is confirmed in the next general elections atleast for KPK and Balochistan

lol they are not afraid of pti. if it was the case they would have demolished the Pukhtunkhwa govt long ago with JUI, sherpao and others but they did not. They gave a chance to Imran khan but Imran khan is getting away and not doing what his govt should do in their province.
All these parties have realized now they inviting army to remove the govt is a big mistake because army comes and enjoy the govt and don't want to go for decades and destroy the country. so thats why they are united this time except for the lottas parties.
Imran khan should wait for four years and then can show his power in the election rather than waiting for the finger to be raised.

The problem is he has done both with a single stroke.. he has diminished his cause and abandoned it with such a stupid gesture.

Imran khan isn't going to benefit Pashtuns nor is his focus on them either. So I see no reason why Achakzai should support him in any way.

If the people of KP voted him in, Imran Khan is their problem or their benefit. Achakzai's reasons for supporting Nawaz center around the delusional notion that a soft coup will return the Army to power (as if they were ever out of it in the first place since Nawaz Sharif makes every cautious move with their input).

If he can gain more influence through Nawaz, hence gain more influence for his cause, then I see no reason why he shouldn't support that man.

Uh... perhaps because of these things that leaders and heroes should have called principles to stand on that they claimed to espouse? Nawaz and his establishment have been central in Pakistan's history to diverting resources to the Panjab... a problem that has affected Balochistan more than any other place.

The only one who is supporting war on their own people is Taliban. They destroyed Pashtun areas in Afghanistan and nor did they spare the Pashtun areas in Pakistan.

Once again, per the history of who and what they are, they arose from the destruction and the chaos, and are a product of mismanagement and misadventures by a series of stooges and fools that preceded them. In the words of Kawun Kakar (and Karzai supporter by the way):

"“In reality, the traditional way of life in villages has changed little by Taliban's rule. The situation of Afghans in the countryside controlled by the Taliban has improved because of increased peace and security, giving them the opportunity to rebuild after two decades of war. But this security comes at a cost. Forced recruitment of young men to fight the ever bloody war of attrition against the Northern alliance has depleted the man-power from these rural centers. In the cities and urban centers, the more modern and liberal way of life conflicts sharply with that of the Taliban's social and religious values."

I am no fan of USA, in fact I do despise them, but nevertheless, they did rebuild Afghanistan from the scratch.

No, rather, using these cockroaches in Kabul, they built a banana state with a high level of future dependency "from scratch" that benefits Afghans very little and benefits everyone else very very much.

          Big economic growth,

wrong... define that further. Big economic dependency.

The numbers are staggering. According to the World Bank, an estimated 97 percent of Afghanistan’s roughly $15.7 billion gross domestic product comes from international military and development aid and spending in the country by foreign troops. The economy is already contracting as troops leave, and future growth will be slower, especially in urban areas and areas of conflict.
          better infrastructure,

Really? You are going to say that with a straight face? Here is a nice article to show how Karzai and his colleague cockroaches have managed that shoddy infrastructure:

          Title?
U.S.-funded infrastructure deteriorates once under Afghan control, report says
So they basically get to build shoddy infrastructure and recycle the money back into their home western economies where the contractors get the bids, use poor quality building material, and then end up charging the government for a huge tab:

Two United Nations agencies spent millions in U.S. money on substandard Afghanistan construction projects, including a central bank without electricity and a bridge at risk of life threatening collapse, according to an investigation by U.S. federal...

Two United Nations agencies spent millions in U.S. money on substandard Afghanistan construction projects, including a central bank without electricity and a bridge at risk of "life threatening" collapse, according to an investigation by U.S. federal agents.
So once again, some transient accomplishments by a group of Kabul Cockroaches amounts to little to really toot the horn to.

an army Afghanistan on it own couldn't have achieved in 100 years.

They were saying the same sorts of things about Iraq's police forces nad Army. With the likes of Abdurraziq and Jajo, I hardly thing the ANP is anything to brag about with that duo of miscreants and freakshow.

This was their Iraq-Army like loser thope last year:

To put it in perspective: The Afghan forces' death toll is as much as three times the combined coalition and Afghan fatalities in 2010 and 2011, when the U.S. took its heaviest casualties in the war.

That was a year ago, and this is 5 days ago:

KABUL, Afghanistan — Local Afghan officials say more than 200 police officers and soldiers have been killed during a fierce Taliban offensive in Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan that has lasted all summer and now threatens to overwhelm a key district.

Officials at the national level have played down the violence and even, in some cases, flatly denied that there is a problem. But local military, police and government officials, including two Afghan generals, have said in recent days that they are unsure their forces can continue to hold out against the offensive, which has been underway since June in the Sangin district in northern Helmand and more recently in neighboring Musa Qala, unless they get more support from national authorities and international forces.
This is embarrassing that they rely on Raziq to kill pseudo Taliban members (aka civilians) all the while this rag tag group with Korean era weaponry is knocking the he-ll out of them. This group of potheads would fold faster than green grass through a goose once their air support goes away.

So what have they done? They have

          1. Ensured constant dependency to maintain a plutocracy
          2. Destroyed any hope of a meritocracy (you should see the morons they bring over that are Kabul official's children to study in the ivy leagues):

          3. Empowered cockroaches and removed cavemen (ala AbdurRaziq and Jajo and now Dostum rising to the highest offices in the lands).
          4. basically outfitted remnants of the northern alliance with some poor quality gear and army fatigues and allowed them to ride rough shod over Pashtuns

hardly things to appreciate my dear friend.

Do tell, how did he abandon his cause. Just because he didn't support Imran khan in his coup. The very Imran khan who want to loosen the tie with his neighboring countries.

Yeah, keep up with the propaganda of army ruling everything. They are certainly an influential player in Pakistan, but they certainly do not rule. Unlike what would have happened if Imran got support from Achzai and company.

Any prove of that? And no there isn't any heroes in real world, you watch to many movies. And leaders don't have some universal principles as you imply.

How in the world is Taliban a part of cause and effect. While everyone else have some magnificent power to avoid that 'cause and effect' and have absolute autonomy of themselves.

Taliban torturing and slaughtering, suiciding and god know what else. ''it is a cause of circumstances''. If somebody else even do a slightest mistake, they are suddenly deemed the 'devil spawn'.

And if your almighty Taliban army was indeed that strong, you wouldn't need to write propaganda articles, because they 'might' would have been self explaining.
