I don't know wrora, the first Pakhtun ruler was Durrani in 1747, so it's 200 years older but all international journalists say that Afghanistan was actually created in 1893 when the British and Russians negotiated the present day boundaries but even then after that Emir Abdur Rehman aka Iron Emir was a British agent and recieved payments from them until Anglo-Afghan treaty was signed in 1919.Originally posted by abassinafghan View Postafghanistan as a state and a country is older"I bow to no one, except ALLAH. Pashtuns have been independent for more than 5000 years. Wars have been fought, but never lost, enemies still in our major soils today. But the battle still continues every single day. Until we have freedom in all corners of Ariana/Pashtun soil again. To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

Its not like that. Afghanistan has been losing territories since death of Ahmad shah Abdali.Originally posted by tripledouble View PostI don't know wrora, the first Pakhtun ruler was Durrani in 1747, so it's 200 years older but all international journalists say that Afghanistan was actually created in 1893 when the British and Russians negotiated the present day boundaries but even then after that Emir Abdur Rehman aka Iron Emir was a British agent and recieved payments from them until Anglo-Afghan treaty was signed in 1919.
About amir abdul rehman, he won throne with the assisstance of British in 1880, naturally he was inclined towards them. In 1885 , there was risk of war with russia when russian forces killed some 500 afghan troops and captured territory from afghanistan in modren day turkmenistan but british intervened and stopped russian aggression through diplomacy. Before this Afghanistan lost large portion of sistan to persia. And before 1893, afghanistan had already lost Quetta, pishin, zhob and loralai to british in second anglo-afghan war 1878. KPK was already lost to sikhs from 1819-1834, only PATA and FATA were formally annexed by british in 1893. That short-legged Herat is bullshyting, Afghanistan is not colonial construction, rather is reduced form of afghanistan of 1747 , being eaten away by persians, sikhs, british and russian empire from time to time.History of Pashtuns

Pashtuns are 5000 year old
The proposal of Afghanistan is about 500 years old (Khushal Khan Khattak and Pir Roshan)
Afghanistan as its own country is about 300 years old, since Mir Wais Hotak rebelled against IRan
Pakistan is only 60 years old. Before Pakistan, Punjabi people were Indians and even in Pashto , Hindko means indian Pashto when we talk about Punjabis...
We call Punjabi people Indians over and over again and never called ourselfs Indian cause we were not Indian!!
However, the Hindkowans liked to be called Hazarawals to disconnect themselves from their Indian past (yeah, Hazaras, like the mongol people.....)Last edited by kanishka; 08-18-2014, 05:51 PM.

First of all that's not true, no history book validates your claim, at the most Afghanistan is 120 years old but not more....Originally posted by kanishka View PostPashtuns are 5000 year old

Pakistan is now 67 y/o,as a name 74 y/o and as an idea since Iqbal's career.Pakistan is only 60 years old.
You do realize that Punjabis aren't the only people in Pakistan? They're only 42-45% and even then they're pretty diverse; in India the Punjabis Sikhs are seen as different..Before Pakistan, Punjabi people were Indians and even in Pashto , Hindko means indian Pashto when we talk about Punjabis...
Calling a Lamborghini a Honda doesn't make it oneWe call Punjabi people Indians over and over again and never called ourselfs Indian cause we were not Indian!!
Hazarewal cause we live in Hazara but Mansehra also belongs to us, so I guess we should now call our selves Hindkowans to encourage nationalism; all Hindkowans are a mixed people many of us are Pakhtun by blood with a mixed language and even the Punjabi origin -Hindko speakers look different. However, the Hindkowans liked to be called Hazarawals to disconnect themselves from their Indian past (yeah, Hazaras, like the mongol people.....)"I bow to no one, except ALLAH. Is this what they teach you in paki history class?Originally posted by tripledouble View PostI don't know wrora, the first Pakhtun ruler was Durrani in 1747, so it's 200 years older but all international journalists say that Afghanistan was actually created in 1893 when the British and Russians negotiated the present day boundaries but even then after that Emir Abdur Rehman aka Iron Emir was a British agent and recieved payments from them until Anglo-Afghan treaty was signed in 1919.
Afghanistan was indeed founded in 1747 by Ahmad Shah Durrani by reuniting all Afghan tribes under one country. The british didn't recognize the country until their expedition into south asia in the 19th century. Just because some anglo coons didn't recognize it, doesn't mean it didn't exist and even afg's neighbours saw it as independent nation.
With your logic, "Iran" technicality didn't become a country when the shah changed its name in 1935."Revenge is a dish best served cold".
