Suicide bomber kills President Karzai’s cousin in Kandahar

Hashmat Khalil Karzai, President Hamid Karzai’s cousin was killed following a suicide attack in Kandahar province on Tuesday morning.
Provincial governor spokesman, Dawa Khan Meenapal said the incident took place around 10:00 am local time in Karz village of Dand district.
Meenapal further added that the suicide bomber visited Hashmat Karzai’s home as a Eid visitor and detonated his explosives.
He said no one else suffered any casualties following the attack.
In the meantime, local security officials said the attack was carried out a by a teenager suicide bomber who was believed to be around 16-year-old.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
