Partially yes but not solely based off religion otherwise Why a Greater number of Muslims still opted for India instead of Pakistan/Bangladesh

Because of human nature. One cannot expect a person to leave, because a guy in a suit says so... The same way many Palestinian people didn't leave the modern day Israel. Thanks to that, there is big chunk of Palestinians still in Israel. There is literally thousands of other examples as well.
Basically, just because the reason is solely based upon religion, it doesn't mean it the best option for that particular religion. Take Taliban or Al-queda as examples, their reason is solely based on religion, but they aren't benefiting the religion they have based themselves on.
Also one need to note that, just because somebody base themselves on certain something, it doesn't mean they represent that thing. In this case it is the religion. What it means is, that people from that particular religion wont follow the person/state (in this case Pakistan/Jinnah).
To clarify my point even more, I am going to give you another example. Imagine if I based my opinion solely on Pashtun people, would it mean that every Pashtun in the world will follow me in whatever I do? Obviously not, same thing in Pakistan and India case.

Wrong. 40,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered in 1971 not 93000, the other 53,000 were Pakistani civilians, many biharis and non Bengali as well as Bengali razakars were killed and tortured and the war of 1971 was boun for us to lose because east Pakistan was 1600 kms away, we had no chance + india had Russian help, we got no help from the Chinese or Americans, they came to late for our assistance.

If no country likes Pakistan then no country likes Afghanistan either, and IDC about popularity contest, we don't anybody's assurances.
