The pashtuns of NW will be even more happy when they will return to a land with no taliban presence. No one will demand monthly taxes for them as an addition to jihad and all the **** they have done to the people.

The most interesting part is the post operational development.

Universities followed by medical and engineering colleges is the near future development in Waziristan.

Your own words justify this destruction. Why Taliban fled? Because of this destruction. If army wont destroy they wont flee. Do you think army should come with flowers for Taliban and request them to leave Waziristan. No. It is a war and I did not see a single protest in Bannu or elsewhere that IDPs have objected to this operation. They are all happy except with arrangements for the aid.

You blame Pakistani army for harboring Taliban and when they destroy them still you are not happy. Interests change with time. May be they needed Taliban in past and used them as fodder but now as they are no more useful rather problematic, so the hour to destroy them.

          My dear brother
Just show me a single protest any where in Pashtunland against this operation? I do not see a single Pashtun amongst the 70 millions Pashtuns in the world except few here on net.

Did the people of Swat protest before or after the operation? Rather they showered flowers on Paksitani army. The same will happen in Waziristan.

You people are hilarious. If Pakistan attacks taliban then they are criminals. If they don't attack them, then they are "terrorist supporters".

Pakistan just like Afghanistan is a failed state. Its bound to get partitioned. Its just a matter of time.

Well to be fair, Pakistans policy on its tribal Pashtun folk does basically amount to "collective punishment" and my sympathy goes to the oppressed (the tribal Pashtun folk of Pakistan) and not the oppressor (Pakistan) but you are right on the double standards of the "Loy Afghanistan" type Pashtun nationalists: they, on the basis of their ethnic interests, call for the partition of Pakistan but selectively refuse (actually I think the phenomena is more a form of self-deception) to consider the implications of the same conflict of ethnic interests that plague Afghanistan. Anyone who truly wishes to bring about a lasting peace to the ethnic plague of our region will support the partition of both Afghanistan and Pakistan along ethnic lines.

Independently pashtuns will be weak,They don't have any educational base neither does access to warm water, which will force them to be yet again dependent upon Iran/Pakistan for warm water Access

With Pakistan,They have a bright future,Pakistan can offer them immunity from foriegn threats,Can offer them basic Health and educational facilities.

In Long run with the mass of Population Pakistan have,it will be among the top countries in Research output and Economy followed by industrilization

So the future of pashtuns with Pakistan is safe and bright.True,Pakistan is still into nation building as it is not enough old but i can see alot of reforms within the Pakistani people after the past decade terrorism.

I don't care about the punjabi establishment nor the taliban. I only care about ordinary pakistani people, regardless their ethnic background, who are suffering because all this dirty game.

I dislike partition, bro. Partition means bloodbath and ethnic cleansing. There are thousand of pashtuns in north and west Afghanistan just like many tajik pockets in south and east Afghanistan. I know Afghanistan has no future and I agree that only partition along ethnic lines can bring peace to our people. But its a disgrace.

Loy Awghanistan is just a dream. Let them be. We know very well that right now most pashtun provinces in Afghanistan are de facto under pakistani control. This people are barking against tajiks, but tajiks are right now in Afg-Pak border fighting for pashtuns. ANA should withdraw from those provinces.

You made some valid points, sir. An independent landlocked Pashtunistan would miserably fail. Right now pakistani pashtuns got thanks to Pakistan, roads, schools, hospitals, universities, modern technology,.. etc. I think you are much better under pakistani umbrella than as an independent state.

Afghanistan is also landlocked. Does Afghanistan have any resources to insure it's existence?

there is one major difference , in afghanistan pashtuns live since centuries , and people like you and the rest came mostly as immigrants , and even you herati are sunnis and welcomed sunni pashtuns against your shia iranian friends !

in opposite in pakistan the land was given to them by the british , artificially , they didnt colonized it ,they didnt caputerd it , they did nothing for it .

If we create a independent state, intially we will transcend into a civil war and the best out of us will grab the leadership. We will be dependent on our neighbours forever unless we grab Balochistan from iran or Pakistan.

We don't have the resources neither does skilled labours,Hence we will remain not only in chaos but in poverty for this century once again

                              Now with Pakistan.

Democracy getting strength since the last decade, economic uplift,Education revolution(Under PTI,we will replace Punjab in literacy rate in near future),Industrilization,Peace and more to follow

The world order will be built irrespective of ethnicities and partially based of religion.Considering Pashtuns being sunni by majority as does the pakistani,it is much better to be with pakistan than iran as in iran something like iraq can happen anytime

if they had,Never would have they bow down to anyone in the past 3 decades to create a govt, rule and leave.
