"THE N.WAZIRISTAN OPERATION BY PAK ARMY IS NOTHING BUT AN ATTEMPT AT RENT-SEEKING!
Anyone who believed even for a second that there has been any shift in the strategic policy of Pak Army (in view of N.Waziristan military operation), should read section 1224, particularly sub-section (f) [at page 481] of the accompanying bill of the U.S congress (June 2, 2014):
".....The provision would also restrict the Secretary of Defense from waiving the certification requirements relating to $300.0 million of the $900.0 million in CSF authorized for Pakistan unless the Secretary certifies that Pakistan has undertaken military operations in North Waziristan that have significantly disrupted the safe haven and freedom of movement of the Haqqani network in Pakistan."
The timing of military operation (June 14) and this bill (June 2, 2014) speaks volumes about the real motives of army's move."
