First of all, Jon McCain also sent his son to fight in Iraq. Was that a just war? Does that mean Mr. McCain, a known war monger is a good man? Does that mean that Iraq had a good outcome? Second various militants are recorded by their fathers has having been offered for lethal operations as well... does that make their cause just?

Second of all, being sent to a front and fighting on the leading edge of it without air support clearing the way is an entirely different matter than a cush situation where you have planes and super power drone support and satellite support that often labels civilians as militants and ends up conducting collective punishment operations so that you can swoop in after those have done the job for you.

Once again, you need to sit down and think out of your safety zone and ponder over what these things all mean together and what your own biases and conditioning has been.

Thus far I have not heard anything except the military tow the line logic and propaganda to the point of zealotry from you guys.

As I state before, collective punishment, which even the Americans have not meted out to the degree Pakistan has (and ironically to its OWN population) is a war crime. The Lieutenant General who sent his son will perhaps have to answer his Lord regarding why he used his intellect and power to not only damage his own soul but also that of his son in the quest to kill people based on jingoistic logic that is neither fair nor just or balanced nor informed nor honest.

Shabaz, let me show you the words of a real man... a military man who was honest about his son's death in a military endeavor across the world:

Bacevich is a great man and a thinker and understood from the get go that this sort of jingoistic nonsense to rile up the masses for killing of innocents and in this case, killing of one's own people to suit the whims of the Pak military is not honorable... its nonsense.

I was not proving that it's just or unjust. My point was it's not for the sake of money that Pakistan Army is now doing it.

And in every war there are civilian casualities, the other way was to resolve the matters via dialogues and we all know what happened when Pakistan was having dialogue.

            1) The militants were still bombing civilian areas.
            2) The rest of the world were calling us Taliban Khan, when we said we need to resolve the matters via peace.

Unlike you I want to go for a solution what you are telling me is that Pakistan deserve this due to it's wrong policies and stuff. For how long? No the common citizen and the common soldier who dies doesn't deserve it. We need to find a solution and the military operation isn't a complete solution to this problem, this though is a part of the solution.

Come on now, tell the story in full. You are acting as if Pakistan was a faithful participant in the dialogue. Rather, Pakistan continued to prod, instigate, and allow NATO pipelines; just a few days before a major attack they once again offered up coordinates on a TTP leader and the TTP responded in kind.

Strong nations do not really care what the rest of the world says when its thinking about the life and dignity of its people and dealing with them on the level.

Money is only a part of the bribe - Pakistan also receives state of the art killing machines from its established relationships. It views the lives of the tribal Pashtuns as well worth the exchange for the latest and greatest arms.

The Gaurdian noted the following DURING the supposed talks:
Airport battle lasted six hours and left 28 dead as any deal with militant group left in balance, after Islamabad vows retaliation

In recent weeks the army has launched what it described as retaliatory air strikes and limited ground operations in North Waziristan, a tribal "agency" bordering Afghanistan that serves as an important sanctuary for the TTP.
And as others have noted, Pakistan has the operational capabilities to do as Iran has done and forcibly stop the drones, but wikileaks and others have proven that the government purposefully does not do so.

Therefore, the answer of how long you should wait is dependent on how honest a broker you are willing to be. Pakistan obviously determined that it preferred face saving operations and wars of attrition instead of truly accomplishing reconciliation.

Any time I want to laugh, I just think of this pathetic general sitting and begging US for money and to stay. How did he sit and was he pretending to be macho? Did he ask for a starbucks latter? Disgusting loser. He must have started crying "give me money, pleeeasse!"

The US is leaving, and the dollars to Pak will end. Period.
