TTP Miramshah Commander Umer Killed in a ground Offensive


Taliban's Miramshah commander killed in raid: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday said that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander of Miramshah, Umer was killed by security forces on the outskirts of Miramshah the previous night.

In a statement issued today, the ISPR stated that the civilian population has been evacuated from North Waziristan where the Zarb-i-Azb operation is targeting local and foreign militants.

"To make sure that there are no innocent civilians still left in the area, announcements are being made for any stranded tribals who may have stayed back for any reasons, to leave also," read the statement.

It also said that after the surrender of 19 terrorists, more terrorists may lay down arms.

Pakistan Air Force Jet aircraft destroyed six terrorist hideouts on the outskirts of Mirali, killing 11 militants, read the press release.

Attacks were also carried out on Saturday morning by artillery fire, tanks and heavy weapons outside Miramshah, killing seven terrorists.

One prominent Al Qaeda commander has been arrested while trying to flee the area, the ISPR said.

Initial interrogation reveal that the militant is an expert at Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and suicide belt manufacturing.

Meanwhile, three terrorists were also arrested by security forces while they were trying to cross the Indus River near Mianwali and all spots along the river were subsequently sealed to prevent escape, it added.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander of Miranshah, Commander Umer, was killed last night by security forces on the outskirts on Miranshah, Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Asim Salim Bajwa said on social media.
He said that seven terrorists were killed early Saturday morning outside Miranshah. Bajwa also confirmed that 6 terrorist hideouts were destroyed last evening on the outskirts of Mirali killing 11 terrorists.
Bajwa confirmed that one prominent al Qaeda commander was also arrested. According to initial interrogation, the commander is an expert in explosives, improvised explosive devices (IED) and suicide belts.
Three terrorists were also arrested by security forces while they tried to cross Indus River near Mianwali. All crossings along the river have been sealed to keep terrorists from escaping.

Yes 2 soldier and 1 civilian were killed when the suicide bomber wanted to penetrate into the Hospital in NW.But he exploded the vehicle 100m away from the hospital,The reason the deathtoll was minimum

AHORE: Police successfully foiled a terrorism bid by seizing a truck containing a huge cache of explosive material from Shahdara Town of Lahore city, DawnNews reported.

During a routine search, police halted a truck on the Rawal bridge check post, where they examined 40 gunny sacks allegedly containing brimstone. A deeper inspection uncovered the explosives hidden in the vehicle.

Two suspects were also arrested from the site. One of the suspects belonged to Chakwal while the other hailed from Mardan district.

Police took both suspects to an unidentified location for interrogation.

Every single move the TTP making is becoming a failure.They have not yet responded with even a small scale blast in the past 1 month except the one in NW when they tried to penetrate into the hospital but forced to explode 100m away from the hospital

At least 16 terrorists were killed in the fresh air strikes in North Waziristan on Sunday,Express News reported quoting Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
At least 16 terrorists were killed and seven militant hideouts were destroyed in the latest air strikes in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.
ISPR claimed that an ammunition depot was also destroyed in the attack.
