1. Security has been beefed up in all major cities and towns and at sensitive installations across the country by civil administration. Army troops have been alerted and forward placed to assist law enforcement agencies. They will remain at designated places and whenever asked by civil administration will be employed in case of emergency.


2. Early morning today 6 x hardcore Terrorists hideouts in Shawal, North Waziristan Agency were destroyed by jet aircrafts. In these precise strikes 27 x terrorists were killed. There is no civil population in the area. More details to follow.

3. Yesterday jet aircraft precise strikes in Degan- Boya in North Wazirastan were very successful in which 140 x terrorists were killed. Most of those killed are Uzbeks. Many ETIM terrorists and their affiliates have also been killed in the strikes. It was a massive blow to the terrorists and one of their main communication centre has been dismantled

4. Operation in North Waziristan Agency is progressing as per plan. No operation in civil populated areas has been started so far. North Wazirastan Agency has been isolated by deploying troops along its border with neighboring agencies and FATA regions to block any move of terrorists in and out of the Agency.

5. Troops have cordoned off all terrorists bases, including the town of Mirali and Miranshah. 7 X fleeing terrorists were killed on the outskirts of Mirali last night. In a separate sniper action by Special Service Group 3 x terrorists were killed, while laying IEDs close to Miranshah

6. Security has been beefed up all along Pak-Afghan border to check terrorists fleeing from area. Afghan National Army and Afghan Border Police have also been requested to seal the border on their side to facilitate elimination of terrorists fleeing across the border. They have also been requested to initiate immediate measures to eliminate TTP terrorists and their sanctuaries in Kunar, Nuristan and other areas of Afghanistan.

7. 3 x soldiers were injured last night in exchange of fire with terrorists around Mirali

8. An orderly and dignified evacuation of civil population out of Agency is being ensured. Necessary Logistics and administrative arrangements for IDPs have been completed by Political Administration and Disaster Managmet Agency. Registration points and IDP
camps have been established at Bannu

TTP must be having dreams like ISIS in iraq or FSA in syria.

But they should know this is Pakistan backed by its military that not only has the capability to deter odd ak47 fighters but has the firepower to even invade countries like Afghanistan/tajkistan/iran without any problem

Giving details about yesterday’s offensive, the ISPR press release states that 140 militants – mostly Uzbek – were killed in precise air strikes in Degan-Boya area of North Waziristan.

“Many East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) terrorists and their affiliates have also been killed in the strikes. It was a massive blow to the terrorists and one of their main communication centres has been dismantled,” the ISPR states.

Around seven fleeing terrorists were also killed on the outskirts of Mirali last night. In a separate sniper action by Special Service Group, three terrorists were killed when they were planting IEDs close to Miranshah

Three soldiers were injured last night in exchange of fire between army men and terrorists around Mirali.

I am glad at the new statement of TTP in which they are holding nawaz and punjabi establishment responsible for loss of tribal lives and are talking about burning down islamabad and lahore. They should have adopted this mindset from the begining but never mind, go TTP , burn down punjab.

Seeing is believing,These murtad dogs will only target pashtuns as they hve done in the past.

Mark my word's.infact today it is harder for them to even defend themselves but i know for moral boost they will try to conduct some blast activities in Islamabad and parts of KPK.

If in the next 3days they conduct any major blast in the rest of pakistan apart from KPK and fata than they do have some sort of strength remaining.

Nope , i know exactly how TTP fought in bajaur, mohmand and tirah. IEDs are implanted for advancing ground troops. The ground troops had to take care of IEDs as well as the firing on them from TTP fighters from their positions. This is nerve-wrecking experience for paki army. Afghan taliban also use same tactic. If firing is intense, it makes the unlucky napaki soldier to run and step on IED. If IED is making them nervous and stuck, they are caught in firing. Thats why paki army prefer to use air strikes, gunship helicopters and long range artillary against TTP than close combat.

The Troops are for close combat as you just can't bomb everything in airstrike.This time Pakistan also enjoy the Burrac UCAV but the Laser guided missiles are way too expensive,So they still are using Domestic made A2G missiles.

Unlike in the past,today they also have limited numbers of mrap's,Saad apc's with mrap capability and i also think they will involve Main battle tanks into the operation.

The operation was launched suddenly to stop them from being fleeing into Afghanistan..

Even with all this,in Swat operation they killed upto 2k murtads with recieving only 168 casaulties.The terrain of Swat is more more mountainous than many major town's in NW.

I have been to Spinwam as a kid,Been to Mir ali in 2012 and miramshah in 2011.And they are plain region's except the datta khel and the related region's which is subjected to airstrikes.

The biggest problem in NW operation was huge civilian population otherwise the terrain of SW and Swat is more difficult than NW.
