    Mian Iftikhar Hussain's son Mian Rashid has been killed .
    "inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi'raji'oon"
    He was the only son of Mian Iftikhar Hussain.
    May Allah bless his soul and give strength to Mian Iftikhar Hussain saib and his family to bear this great loss.
    Pashtun millat pal are facing a coward enemy who is behind the viel.

          One another act of barbarism...that is another act of brutality..It is hard for me to believe that it is so easy for people to kill other people's only children..He (the unfortunate father) was warned/threatened but he never listened...da tolo kor wraan sha chi cha ugha oowajalo...khushle naseeb na sha..mraa shaa!!

            WHAT DOES the word " MIAN" mean?

            Is this only used in "Pakistan" or Afghanistan also?

              I agree Swat....even though he lost his ONLY son, people here are still questioning whether he is a "Pashtun" or "Pakistani" rather than condemnation. I pity such thinking!!

                  MIAN is an honorary ancient Punjabi term used for nobles,in this case Sayyeds.
                  It has been used amongst Pashtuns both in Pakistan and Afghanistan for centuries.
                  Mian Saheb a or Mian Abdul Hakim Kakar a "SAINT" from Kandahar who lived three centuries ago is a good example

                    I 100% agree with you,SWATIAN. His name has been on hit list of ISI/Talibans for a long time. Infact he received death threats not only for himself but his family as well including his only son.It is very reasonable to hold ISI/Talibans responsible for this.
