Elections 2014 (15): Hazaras overturning all expectations Anti-Ghani propaganda by video clips Part of the motivation to vote for Abdullah might have also been to prevent the Ghani-Danesh ticket from winning. A source from the Ghani team told AAN that many voters had been warned about Ghani, with propaganda derogatively introducing him as a Kuchi - he does come from a Kuchi background – and “pro-Taleban.” Rival candidates, the source said, had distributed what he called “disturbing video clips". Upon checking, AAN found that indeed videos existed. One exaggerated the land conflict between Hazaras and Kuchis; a conflict that had been exacerbated when the Taleban, while in power, had supported the position of the (Pashtun) Kuchis. (3) Sources from the Ghani team told AAN that, in meetings during the campaign, Ashraf Ghani had said a way needed to be found to resolve the Kuchi-Hazaras dispute; some suggestions can also be found in his election manifesto (manshur). (The manifesto was only uploaded to his website on 31 March, less than a week before the election and it is not clear how happy Ghani himself is with it; he apparently delayed its uploading until members of his team threatened to leave; it has also not been translated into Pashto.) Ghani himself never mentioned the need for a solution for Kuchi-Hazara tensions during his rally in Bamyan, which made people wonder whether he would really be willing to address the issue as president. In another video clip that was widely distributed, Ghani supporters, General Abdul Wahid Taqat, an ex-military officer turned political analyst and Pashtun nationalist, and Ismail Yun, the owner of Zhwandun TV and also Pashtun nationalist, discussed Afghanistan’s history in a televised discussion. Taqat said that all ethnicities of Afghanistan, except the Pashtuns, were “*******s” (harami) and “strangers” who do not originate from Afghanistan. This, of course, raised considerable emotions in the Hazarajat. Ethnic consideration will probably indeed have played a role in determining voters’ decisions in favour of Abdullah. If Abdullah wins, it would be the first time since Afghanistan was founded by King Ahmad Shah Abdali in 1747, that a president with a mixed ethnic background – half Tajik, half Pashtun – was in power. Two days after the vote, on 7 April, the well-known Hazara writer and political activist, Mohammad Amin Halimi, wrote on the Rasaana website (which publishes Hazara writers) that Hazaras “had voted for this change.” Halimi stated that whether Abdullah was “good or bad; democrat or racist – in the elections, he stood for political, social and cultural change – change of the mono-ethnic ruling culture and political tradition.” Ghani and Rassul, on the other hand, were the symbols of the continuity of mono-ethnic governance, Halimi added. http://www.afghanistan-analysts.org/...l-expectations Badlun

Once again request to divide your valuable posts in small paras
It seems Hazaras versus Pashtuns acrimony is getting worse and worse
Uzbek versus Pashtun is now not an issue
Tajik versus Pashtun is more subtle not this much bitter and candid. This ethnic menace will destroy Afghanistan. Why we do not recognize that Pashtuns are majority while others must have their due representation as well.

Man you are d*mb. You first say "ethnic menace will destroy Afghanistan" and after that you say "pashtuns are majority". You reject ethnic fights but at the same time you praise your own tribe.Originally posted by Badlun View PostOnce again request to divide your valuable posts in small paras

No credible census has ever been conducted in Afghanistan. If pashtuns are majority then they should conduct a census but they won't because pashtuns are not majority. Afghanistan is a country of minorities.
To me all this majority vs minority cr*p means nothing. Who really cares if tajiks or pashtuns make up half of the population? Why should afghanistan be under the rule of a pashtun? Why a non pashtun can not rule this country? What makes pashtun (by pashtun I mean KANDAHARI because the rest of pashtuns not rule the country either)than the rest of afghans?

Ghani is a pro-talib.. and Afghanistan has been ruled twice by non pashtuns: Kalakani and Rabbani. So Abdullah would not be Afghanistan´s first non pashtun leader.Originally posted by Bost Bastan News View PostElections 2014 (15): Hazaras overturning all expectations Anti-Ghani propaganda by video clips Part of the motivation to vote for Abdullah might have also been to prevent the Ghani-Danesh ticket from winning. BTW its understandable why hazeras hate to death Ghani. Ghani is a pashtun nationalist who is always flirting with hardcore nationalist and extremist elements such as taliban and Ismael Yoon. Hazaras are not dumb. They will never forget how Abdur Rahman Khan wiped out half of hazara population and how they suffered more than any other tribe under taliban rule. During Afghanistans "golden age", with Daud Khan and Zahir Khan, they were just second class citizens. And now you people expect any support from them to a pashtun nationalist as Ghani? LMAO
Indeed tajiks are as racist as pashtuns are toward hazeras. But at least we don't see tajiks killing every day hazers and at the end of the day tajiks and hazeras despite being completely different ethnicities they share common language and common culture.Last edited by vinyard80; 04-24-2014, 12:19 PM.

Karmal. Tajiks always played a significant role behind the throne. What are you talking? They were the most important and main part of the constitution of Habibullah Khan and Ghazi Amanullah Khan and later under Zahir Khan and Dawud Khan. Ironically, the same Tajiks killed and ended the monarchy in Afghanistan. Dagarwal Abdul Qadir who was a Herati Tajik and the head of Afghan Air Force caused the end of monarchy in Afghanistan, so many other people. Former rulers always used Tajiks also and in secret service since Zahir Shah era. Don´t devide Afghans on the basic of ethnicity.Originally posted by vinyard80 View PostGhani is a pro-talib.. and Afghanistan has been ruled twice by non pashtuns: Kalakani and Rabbani. Interesting, isn't it? The Pashtun rulers of Kabul can be easily toppled by TajiksUzbeksHazara, but they can not hold out for long against foreign support Pashtuns receive (British and Pathan tribes against Kalakani, Arabs and Pakis against Rabbani). This is why Afghanistan is always used as a football field for outside powers to settle their scores.Originally posted by vinyard80 View PostGhani is a pro-talib.. and Afghanistan has been ruled twice by non pashtuns: Kalakani and Rabbani. Man read again my statement: I DO AGREE WITH YOU! You did not get my point.Originally posted by Bost Bastan News View PostKarmal. Tajiks always played a significant role behind the throne. Tajiks have always played an important role in Afghanistan. Since most of educated people in Afghanistan were/are tajiks (hazaras are improving too) Afghanistan´s economy, culture, education and bureaucracy always has been run by tajiks.
Karmal´s origin is not clear. He might be tajik (actually I think he was a tajik at least by "race") but he always claimed to be pashtun and he never supported tajikism in afghanistan but the pashtun nationalist-communist regime. So he was pashtun.
BTW WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN KABUL WITHIN TWO WEEKS. I WANNA MEET YOU. I WANNA CHECK OUT IF YOU ARE REALLY PASHTUN OR JUST A TAJIK TROLL.

Afghanistan is a brit creation. Brits created it in order to play their great game with russia in there. Right now the rest of the world still play that game. Afghanistan was, is and always will be a buffer-zone. West is just taking advantage of our stupidity and ethnic nationalism. Shame on us.Originally posted by Al-Afghani View PostInteresting, isn't it?
