  • An interesting Article

What are your thoughts on this well referenced journal article by Anthropologist Pashtun Dr. M. Jamil Hanifi? He writes an evidence based piece and goes back to the original sources including Munshi's Tarikh-e-Ahmad Shah.

I place this under politics because of its political implications.

PS. If anyone is interested in a copy of Tarikh-e-Ahmad Shah, here you go:

Maybe to ones like you that read and want to investigate the original sources... but sorry to say not to many.

Karzai early in his post 2001 career change actually went to Sher Sorkh Ziarat and utilized what this author is talking about by having a ceremony done there.

It is important to read how the post 1922 government used and abused the contorted history constructed by Brits to design an identity apart from what Ahmad Shah Baba ever wanted... which is why I think its important to thoroughly read the references the author gives verbatim from Tarikh-e-Ahmad Shah.

He is not at all insulting Ahmad Shah Baba, he is talking about the re-writing of history to manipulate the situation.
