It is very funny. 'Pathans' who have been in India/Eastern Pakistan for generations and now speak Urdu/Punjabi are almost idolized in Lahore, whereas pashto speaking pashtuns are treated as you say above. Every time I hear a 'pathan' (I have many in my family) make a pashtun stupidity joke (we've all heard 'em) it annoys me.

Most of the time, they, i.e., Punjabis and Urdu speakers together do it out of jealousy and due to the deep identity crisis they have for not having an identity distinct from non-Muslim Indians. I agree. I know a few people a Punjabi Rajput who regularly makes jokes that refer to Pashtuns as stupid. They are funny jokes but I told him that "you know I'm Pashtun, right?" and he said, "yeah but you aren't THAT kind." I don't understand this complex, but what you have said makes sense. Many people don't know that I am Pashto and Ormuri speaking, and since my parents were raised in Punjab, most of their friends assume they are Punjabicized Pathans. Tbh, I don't have a problem with non-Pashto speaking Pashtuns though, they still often have the positive traits of our people without the language (Hospitable and Loyal) and let's not forget that they are very proud of their heritage like many of us.

Idolized for fair features? A sindhi told me that they refer to fair girl as "pathani" by which they means beautiful. Sindh was ruled by some afghan tribes centuries ago. It reflects the inferiority complex about their own brown skin.
"pathan" is also symbol of bravery and terror for them.
Punjabi muslim was mostly convert from low caste shudras and dalits, weak and meek. Sikh misls from east punjab and Pashtuns from across the indus ruled over them, instead of fighting them like men, they came up with pathan and sikh jokes. Punjabi muslims always wished to have martial and warrior character like afghans and central asians, british granted them that wish. Now they are euphoric and are delusional that they are army of raja porus and ranjeet singh. There was article by a punjabi retired fauji that in the party of army officers, some punjabi generals were boasting that they have conquered waziristan which was never conquered before by any army.

India is different case. Punjabi/sindhi dhaalkhors belong to indian dhaalkhors. Historical hindostan extended upto indus. India is not interested in absorbing punjab and sindh due to its large muslim populations but she would definately want to weaken it further , indians are involved in balochistan insurgency. Azad balochistan would be in the interest of both indian and afghan nation. Punjabis would directly suffer from separation of balochistan as they would no longer enjoy the looting of its huge natural resources. So Pashtuns dont need to invite any external force, stupid punjabis have made indians very mad and angry. They are as good as over, after this election if Ghani wins those bithces going to be ousted, even other Tajiks have enough of them. And please don't compare our situation to that of PAkistan. We had 35 years of war and the minorities are backed by the world super power, that in this time PAshtun are not the dominant party is not a surprise, but still we are making our way to improve the situation, I could not say that about your Paki Pathans.

Why would israel/Jews want to join hands with Pashtun in Afghanistan against Pakistan?Considering that Israel has approached Pakistan many times for possible relations but Pakistan too deeply worried about Non existing Muslim Ummah

In Pakistan 2-3 decades earlier pashtun were not part of many institutions in the Govt today Pashtuns are 2nd to Punjabis in Pakistan even though Pashtuns are 2-3times less in number than punjabis in Pakistan.

The Amount of Pashtunization of Non pashtun happening in Pakistan is incredible.Just look at the saraiki people which are considered 10% of Punjabis always in official Govt census.Not 100% but atleast 50-60% of them understand pashto and even listen to pashto entertainment.Don't be surpised that if after 6-7 decades,They leave their respective saraiki language or a new language of the combination of Saraiki-Pashto become their first language

on the Other hand be it Ghani or Abdullah or even the taliban.The Govt will be under Tajiks/Uzbeks or in short dari speaker.if Taliban Control half Afghanistan,The real Afghanistan will be the one controlled by dari speaker and that part of Afghanistan will be recognized by the world and having all sort of relations and aid from the world.

With the amount of movement of Pashtuns from Afghanistan into Balochistan.Which has changed the demography of the whole Balochistan in favour of pashtun from 28% in 1998 census to 45% today.Don't be surprised by the next decade when the Pashtun population in Afghanistan will reduce to 30% from existing 40% in Afghanistan while in Balochistan it will see a surge to 70% vis a vis Baloch 20-25%

So instead of living in Fools paradise,Accept the facts.I can tell you hundreds of Afghan refugees i know working in Punjab and other non pashtun part of Pakistan.

The Ground realities are different.I can even tell you Punjabis(Saraiki) Doctors who had worked in Afghanistan and had no complained about any mis respect.

While on the forum we discuss all this discrimination and related stuff but the ground realities are different.A common Person from Afghanistan or Pakistan no more is concerned about pashtuns or punjabis or tajik.But a Better human to human relations
