Once again, I generally agree with your assessment of Tajik leaders but the point Im trying to make is that we have to expect this, they will pursue their perceived ethnic interests to the detriment of others and frankly I think secularly oriented Pashtun leaders do / will do the same if given the opportunity. The only groups and types of leaders who genuinely at least attempt ethnic impartiality are "Islamists" which is why I actually do not mind the Taliban. However, tough the ethnic problem will be ameliorated by Islamic rule, I do not think it will go away. Islamic rule can only be a palliative at best and the only long lasting cure it seems to me will be the formation of ethnically homogenous states.

BTW what do people understand by "pashtun leader"? Please can somebody point out one single pashtun leader? Hope you don't mean Ashraf Ghani with his american passport and his christian family. Fahim and Atta are the biggest feudal lords in shamali similar to how Nawaz's family is in Punjab and Bhutto's family is in Sindh. Except you are at a much disadvantage than Punjab or Sindh since you are landlocked. Tajikistan is the poorest country that came out of the USSR, there is a reason for that.

The NA is being restored as we speak. All TajikUzbekHazara militia leaders are storing weapons for the civil war that will start on January the first, 2015. Perhaps their names are not in the news, but they are former Soviet jihad fighters and commanders.

The Taliban is doing the same, by enhancing their ties with Pakistan and its military/intelligence services. They know capturing Kabul requires the help of PakiPashtun tribes, and the PakiArmy.

Reminds me of landlocked Afghanistan, except with the added explosive mixture of ethnic groups who love killing each other. For access to the sea we need to acquire Balochistan, or join Pakistan as their fifth province.

Indeed. Actually some "NA elements" such as Ismael Khan are declared enemies of their northerner fellows.
