  • Afghan New Year,

One more day until the start of Nawruz (New Year) 1393; Nawruz falls on the first day of spring and has been celebrated for more than 3,000.00 years in Afghanistan.
Nowruz brings family and friends together to celebrate the beginning of a New Year. Among the many rich traditions of celebrating Nawruz, the themes of rebirth and the pursuit of happiness and aspirations are constant.
Digital Engagement Team at U.S., CENTCOM would like to congratulate Nawruz to all Afghans, and we sincerely wish that Nawruz will bring you blessing, happiness, peace and prosperity.

    Respectfully,

    Hashmat

        Bost Bastan News,

You are more than welcome not to celebrate Nawruz, nobody is forcing it on you. It is very funny to me that you use Hijri Shamsi calendar but you don't celebrate Nawruz.

its more funny that anyone celebrates an arbitrary number in a calendar that is used for day to day convenience.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
