Millions of people living in Syria for the past 40 years under brutal dictatorship of Assad didn't want to live there either.Originally posted by MusafirZazaino would you? or maybe it wasnt so bad before this "conflict"
afghanistan pakistan where i have lived are not much better
I agree, things were much better before the start of the war. But human beings are not made to live like prisoners in their own country.
We may dislike the way the rebellion started and the way it is heading to, but the frustration of the people with Assad was and still is genuine.
By washing it down and pretending it to be a luxury problem, you are doing injustice to millions of innocent civilians who have suffered for 40 years under oppressive rule of the Assad family.
I know the details of life under Assad because I have many contacts with the exiled Syrian community in Europe. These people fled Syria not because they are like those gay Iranian kaafirs who just want to live with Europeans and feel white. Or like many other economical immigrants falsely claiming to be refugees.
Syrians really suffered for decades and they deserve a better life.
The rebel factions in Syria might not be able to give the people a better alternative, but that doesn't mean Assad is any better.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics.
