I don't think so. I actually think Abdullah just like most of tajik leaders would support a power sharing agreement with taliban. After all they have no real influence in south afghanistan since mullah naqeeb died few years ago and no tajik leader since rabbani was killed (whom was respected by many pashtuns). What they will never accept is talib influence in north, west and central afghanistan and that makes perfect sense to me.

Most of the people here like venyard is even pround that he can't speak Pashtu and says that Tajik culture is supirior to all, but somehow Tajikstan belong to one of the poorest country in the world.

You should stop looking down on tajikistanis. Tajikistan is a poor country because soviets gave their rich and cultural cities samarqand bukhar and termez to uzbeks . Anyway tajikistan is thousand times more educated and civilized than your pashtunistan and many great people such as rudaki naser khoshrow,.. were born within their modern borders and they have high literacy rate. Thanks to their collaboration with iran and afghanistan they are improving.

He said it himself during the election debates what he would do about the taliban problem, all the canditates said that they would try to start a dialogue, only Abdullah refused that and claimed that Taliban are the enemy and should be destroyed, no power sharing or what so ever. That is the thing if you are PAshtun like you claime to be, than Farsi is not your language and persian culture is not your culture, you forgot your own and are pround to be assimilated by foreigners culture.

There was a docu about Tajikistan on AlJazeera and how every year thousands of Tajiks flee the country to Russia for work and even divorce theire wifes over a thelephone and abondon their small children becuase they marry over there with some Russian chick....Yes they are really civilized and modern, becuase they use simple sms to divorce theire poore wifes, we should all become so civilized and educated like the Tajiks LOL

Also i would like to challenge mr. massoud on tajik culture if he were alive today. I would ask the following; what exactly is :"tajik culture"? does a tajik ethnicity even exist? This is what i think "tajik culture" is;

1) Engaging in bacha bazi with prepubescent boys in the north. These people have already made mazar famous for that.

2) Burying their daughters alive like pre-islamic Arabs. (As evident in Herat)

3) Even the khanate of bukhara had a sick obsession with "bearded groomed boys" with "smooth skin." (gay much?)

4) Moving in to cities from place to place like gypsy sarts and then clamming to be "native" to that part.

Tajiks don't even have their own clothing in Afghanistan, they have adopted pashtun clothing and headgear while in Tajikistan they dress like westerners.

Tajiks are more influential in Afghanistan than any other ethnicity today.
While this may offend some of you, it is true.

Many foods such as mantu, pulao, naan, kabab, chalao and others were introduced to Afghanistan (and elsewhere such as Pakistan/India) by Persian-speaking people, though these foods are of Central Asian Turkic i.e. Uzbek origin.

Dari plays a greater role in Afghanistan than Pashto and more Pashtuns speak Dari (some even speak it as their first language) than Tajiks speak Pashto.

The shuttlecock burka is of Central Asian Uzbek/Tajik (Bukharan, etc.) origin.

Drinking green tea and tea in general was introduced by Tajiks/Uzbeks via their trade with China, the traditional Pashtun drink is shlombay made of yoghurt.

And a lot of other things.

Tajiks also have, however, introduced a lot of negative things such as "bacha bazi" which was always referenced in Persian poetry and was historically practiced by many Persian-influenced cultures such as the Ottomans and Mughals.
