Elsewhere, army officers would be held to account but this is Pakistan Think of all the instances that are not filmed.

The Taliban are driven by an ideology so even if we disagree with their 'fight' we can at least make some sense of their position. What does the Pak army stand for? Pro/anti 'personal freedom'? Pro/anti 'democracy'? As an institution are the for/against the Taliban? You can't play both sides. It's hard to respect that let alone overcharged 'jawaan's who don't know themselves their own country's position on these things. And I hate the way the Pak media calls them 'shaheed' when there is a loss of army life.

It is old video, from swat operation.......these folk are lucky if they got away after beating.....if faujis suspected any swati of taliban, they either hanged them upside down with pole after torturing them to death with message attached "if you are supporter of taliban you will meet the same fate" or they were dropped from helicopters..........after military operation faujis were allowed to take some revenge from locals. Mass graves of suspected taliban soon begin to appear through out swat. While the real taliban had already retreated to afghanistan.

Look at the pathan fauji in the video, he is more aggressive in beating swatis than the punjabi ones.......And look at the officer, he is saying behanchod when the swati is pleading for mercy from allah.

Common perception in pakistan is that swatis are very thankful to Pak army and love them for rescuing them from Taliban. The fact is swatis were shocked and terrified at such use of force by army in swat......those who became IDPs were lucky, their only bitter experience was of displacement, live as a mohajir in tents for some time and then return to see their houses and properties destroyed by bombardments of air force and military......But those who were unable to leave swat at time, experinced the true horrors of war.......some got killed in bombardments and firing, some were extra-judicially killed by faujis......

Taliban's khoni chowk was for security forces, it had little effect on rural swatis. Some actions of taliban were unpopular among swatis but thats it. They didnt ask the army to get rid of taliban for them.

Swatis are not militant tribes like wazirs and mehsuds, they are very docile. They are terrified of army due to operation of 2009 and nowadys harsh and humiliating checking at the check posts. They are cooperating with army as they were cooperating with taliban....kamzoar ye nu zorawar ba tar bande spor shi.

I never said it was impossible, nor do I believe that the Pak army are saints, they're capable of this, but there is no way to verify this video authenticity neither do we know what context did the events occur in this footage.
